The Fate of a Nobody

"Will it work?" A man asked his companion.

"If we can maintain the simulated town until the girl finishes chaining together the boy's memories." The mysterious man replied.

"What will happen to the other boy?"

"He holds half of the boy's power within him. In the end, he'll have to give it back." The mysterious man replied as he started walking towards the computer screens. "Until then, he'll need another personality to throw off his pursuers."

"Poor thing." The cloaked man said.

The mysterious man sat down on the chair in front of the computer. "It's the fate of a Nobody."

The fate of a Nobody? Well, if you asked that man, he would have said, "To cease to nonexist."

Well, if you asked my best friend, he wouldn't know how to answer.

Me.. well, at first, I was as clueless as my friend. However, I slowly realized what we were meant to do.

The mysterious man says that we don't have a heart. Tell that to me or my best friend or to the girl. If we're Nobodies, how can we feel? How do me and my best friend laugh at jokes, or feel sorry for one another? How is there an actual friendship between us? I rest my case.

At first, the mysterious man thought he understood the heart completely. In the end, he was wrong. So if he's wrong, why should we believe that Nobodies shouldn't exist? I know we form when powerful hearts fall into darkness, but who's to say that our hearts would find the light again? What if we find light as a Nobody? What if.. that's what we are for? To save our heart? In the end, I think that we-the Nobodies-could just unlock the heart within us, the Organization would not exist.

Right now I'm in my final moments. My mission is complete; my heart, restored. I have helped the hero, Sora, and his friends overcome challenges and fight the Organization. As I fade into nothingness, the irony of the situation reflected on me.

"It's the fate of a Nobody."
