"I look out my window and see three trees. I think my plants are dying, and they probably need some water. I wish the bear that has chocolate in it, would be more full or I wish I had chocolate cake. Yeah, chocolate cake." Hermione had many thoughts as she looked out her window. None of which overly concerned her because she knew she had something to do. In the next few minutes she had to work up the courage to wipe her parents' memories. This broke her heart in so many ways. Thoughts of her childhood and that she would be the only one who would remember them in the near future bombarded her.
The stairs in her family home never seemed so steep, nor the hallway so long. She knew that she had a job to do. That was to be where her boys needed her. "Boys are so dense, they couldn't find their way out of a paper bag without me." She had thought playfully to herself. It almost worked. She took a deep breath and stood up from her chair by her desk that looked out to the three trees and the plants that were dying. She took one last look at the bear a quarter full with chocolates and wished for her mum's cake one last time. She sighed to herself and wondered, "Will this be forever?".
