This is my entry for the fanfic competition Your Just as Sane as I Am. Basically a one-shot about Luna lovegood and Bellatrix Lestrange meeting.

I whirled around, I could see spells coming from all directions and prophesies smashing down around me. People were screaming in fear, rage, and pain. I didn't know what direction to turn to find my friends and to find safety. It was getting progressively more and more quiet now the only sounds were prophecies smashing down I knew it was too late it run so I cast a shield above my head so maybe I wouldn't get crushed.

The potter boy and his annoying friends disappeared I couldn't find them anywhere. What would the dark lord say if I let them get away? I can't let that happen. I must please the dark lord! I was running faster looking for them, looking for anyone. Orbs where crashing down around me. I tripped and fell my wand sliding under one of the many tall shelves holding the stupid prophecies, my mask slid in another direction. I hesitated I didn't know witch one to go for. The dark lord would surely crucio me if I lost my mask, but I need my wand. Right as I had made up my mind to go for the wand the shelf it was under came crashing down. I screamed and curled into a ball to shield my face.

I heard someone scream to my right. Even though shards of glass where flinging up at me I started to move as quickly as I could in the direction I had heard the scream which mind you wasn't very fast. I rounded a corner and saw a figure curled up trying desperately to not get cut. They were wearing death eater robes but it didn't look like the person had a wand. I mean if it was raining glass and you had a wand wouldn't you use it?

Bellatrix looked up, one of potters friends stood there looking curiously at her. She didn't look angry or hateful just, curious. "Why aren't you using your wand?" Luna asked "do you think that I am stupid, girl. If I had my wand I would use it." Bellatrix snapped then ducked down as more glass rained down. "Luna, my name is Luna," said Luna dreamily "here" Luna walked over to bellatrix and made the shield bigger so that it covered both of them. Bellatrix looked up at Luna shocked. "Why are you doing this?" bellatrix asked. Luna looked at bellatrix with her normally dreamy face quite serious "because I am afraid all of the bad things you have done were because of your terrible infestation of umgublar slashkilters. Did you know that the minister has one too?" bellatrix stared at her then started laughing hysterically when she finally managed to stop laughing the prophecies had stopped raining down. Bellatrix stood she leaned in and whispered in Luna's ear "I was just like you once" then bellatrix straitened up and walked a few feet away. she dug out her mask then went and dug out her wand. Then she gave one last wild grin at Luna before disappearing into the shadows of the department of mysteries. Luna watched the spot she had vanished for a minute before running to search for her friends.
