I wanted to write this story for a long time is an alternate story of Rio 2. Also I will keep updating my other story but I wanted to write this one now so here we go.

Rio 2 Alternative

Chapter 1

The events after the pit of doom are the and Jewel had their argument..Blu goes to Linda only to say goodbye Roberto thinks that Blu is going with the humans and then a bulldozer comes and Roberto freaks out Blu is saving his life and tells him to go and warn the tribe after that Blu finds Linda and Tulio tied in a tree and he frees them. Now this is where it changes. Blu leaves Linda and Tulio and he tries to see how many the loggers are but as he flies he spots another bulldozer and spots a tree with a frightened female yellow macaw holding her three eggs.

Blu Immediately rushes through the bulldozer and successfully turns it off by grapping the keys and throwing them away but unfortunately for him the driver manages to catch him. Blu tries to escape but he can't and the logger throws him to the door of the bulldozer with full force which caused Blu to pass out.

Meanwhile back to the tribe.

Jewel was perched alone on a brunch of a tree looking through the direction her mate flew after their argument in the pit of doom three hours ago. She was sad because she believed that Blu left for Rio and would never come back. As Jewel was lost in her thoughts she suddenly heard Roberto's screams.

"GAME OVER, IT'S OVER" he was yelling.

"What is going on here?" an old blue spix macaw who was none other than the tribe's leader Eduardo said.

"THE LIGHTS,THE LIGHTS" Roberto said in a panicked tone.

"He is acting like that for half an hour now." Another blue spix macaw said.

"THE LOGGERS ARE COMING, AND BLU IS WITH THEM!" Roberto said again in a panicked tone.

"WHAT? TRAITOR!" Eduardo said angrily

"No..Blu is trying to help us!" Roberto tried to explain.

"WHAT BY HIMSELF?" Jewel said and now she was worried sick about her mate.

"Let's evacuate , everyone let's go we are leaving" Eduardo ordered.

"What? No Dad I can't come with you this time." Jewel said.

"You have to come with me I am not going to lose you again." Eduardo said.

"BLU IS MY FAMILY AND I AM NOT LEAVING HIM BEHIND." Jewel said as she was ready to go and find her mate she was stopped by a voice.

"Mom wait we are coming too." The voice came from a small male blue macaw chick and the younger and only son of Blu and Jewel whose name was Tiago.

"No honey,it's too dangerous" Jewel gently denied her children offer to help.

"By my calculations, mom you can't do this alone." said another small female chick whose name was Bia and she was Blu's and Jewel's second daughter.

Now a third spix macaw chick enter the conversation who was none other than Blu's and Jewel's oldest daughter Carla.

"Yes mom if you are going to find Dad then we are coming to" she said.

"Kids I said no I don't want you to get in trouble. So all I ask from you three is to stick with Pop-Pop and Aunt Mimi." Jewel gently said to them.

"But Mom!" they said in union.

"No Buts!" Jewel said.

"Fine. But come back soon with Daddy please." Bia said.

"Ok I promise" Jewel said and she kissed her children's head before she starts to fly again.

"I hope" she mumbled while she was flying away from the tribe

Back to Blu…

Blu slowly opened his eyes only to find out that he's trapped in a cage.

"What the…" he thought "How did I end up here I need to find a way out!" and he tries to get up but he felt a sharp pain on his feet which caused him to fall down and scream.

"AAGGHHHH." He screamed and he noticed that his feet were only that but he also noticed that his right wing was injured too.

"Great" he thought. "Now I am injured i can't walk and i am flightless again! Can this day go worse?" While he was lost in his thoughts he heard a voice that he hasn't heard before.

"Soo you are awake." The voice came from a tall man who wore white clothes and a white hat and he was holding a lollipop. When Blu saw him he tried to get up again but the pain was too much to handle so the only thing he could do was to sit there and stare at him with a scared look.

"No need to be scared…Oh where are my manners? I am the Big boss leader of the loggers. And you must be the famous spix macaw who went to Rio from Minnesota in order to save your species am I right?" Big Boss said and Blu just nodded but he was still staring at him.

"And you also tried to stop my work earlier right?" he asked and again Blu simply nodded.

"Ha you really thought that you could save your precious rainforest as well as your species while you can't even protect yourself. How pathetic I never thought that a pet would actually believe that he could be a hero." Big Boss said and he started laughing at Blu who now was looking the bottom of the cage.

"But I want you to know that…" Big boss said as he was walking closer to Blu's cage and Blu was looking at him with a sad yet confused look.

"You will never be nothing more than a useless pet and you better get used to it because if you don't your new owner won't be as forgiving as I am… Oh and by the way I hope you said goodbye to your family… because you are not going to see them again!" Big Boss said and he left the injured Blu alone who could now cry for two reasons. One because he was in pain and Two because he would not see his family again.

"I am sorry Jewel… but I won't come home." Blu mumbled and he tried to get some sleep since it was the only thing he could do.

Meanwhile Jewel was flying through the rainforest.

Jewel's POV

I was flying as fast as I mind was filled with bad thoughts of what could have happened to my lovehawk. What if a predator attacked him, what if he got captured what if he got lost what if he got injured or even worse what if I never see him again. No… I have to find him I must find him , I don't want our last minutes together to be a fight.

No one's POV

"JEWEL" a voice called but Jewel ignored it and continue flying.

"JEWEL WAIT!" the voice called again and this time Jewel called.

"Rafael, Nico, Pedro? What are you guys doing here? " Jewel asked.

"What do you think we are doing here? We are coming with you!" Rafael said

"Yeah we heard what happened and we can't leave you alone that's what friends are for!" Nico said.

"Yeah nobody messes with Pedro's friend's" Pedro said

"But I thought that you guys were preparing the show." Jewel said

"Friendship is more important" Rafael said.

"Also we can't do a show if there is no jungle." Nico said.

"Good point but guys you seriously need to go back with the rest of the tribe it's dangerous here" Jewel said

"And leave you alone? Nope we are not if you are helping Blu then we will help too!" Rafael said.

"But…." Jewel tried to say but he was cut by Rafi.

"No buts we are coming too and you are not changing our minds." Rafael said

"Yeah neither ours" another voice said.

"Tiago, KIDS what are you doing here you should be with aunt Mimi" Jewel said.

"But they are" a new voice said who was none other than Aunt Mimi

"Aunt Mimi I thought you were with the others" Jewel said

"And lose the opportunity to fight those beasts? Ha no." she said and other 10 blue spix macaws came.

"Aww guys… " Jewel said as tears of joy came from her eyes.

"Unfortunately your Father didn't agree with this but I am going to talk with him later" Mimi said.

"Well. What are we waiting for… Let's kick some human butt.." a random spix said.

"Alright guys let's go" Jewel said.

"Hang in there Blu I am coming for you!" Jewel thought and she started flying with the others.
