Padma sat in the library, frowning at the sight in front of her. Luna Lovegood was huddled tightly beside Ginny Weasley in one of the armchairs, laughing quietly. Seeing them together felt like a stab in the heart: Luna was one of the few Ravenclaws Padma tolerated and lately, they seemed to be growing apart just as Padma had developed feelings.
"Sister," Parvati called, giggling, and Padma turned around annoyedly. "Are you staring at Luna Lovegood? Because Lav and I have been talking and we've really wanted to go on a double date recently, so if you can just ask her out already, that would be great."
"Shut up," Padma growled and Parvati tossed her hair over her shoulder, raising a challenging eyebrow. "You know perfectly well Luna likes Ginny and it really fucking hurts when you keep teasing me."
Parvati looked at her twin for a second before bursting into delighted laughter. "Oh Padma, you're priceless. Luna isn't in love with Ginny, they're just best friends. Ginny is like head over heels for Potter, everybody but you knows that. For a Ravenclaw, you can be quite dumb, sis."
Padma could hardly believe her ears and she grabbed her sister's hand, squeezing tightly. "You aren't kidding? Oh god, do you think I stand a chance then? What if I already messed up? She must think-"
"Padma, stop," Parvati said softly. "You're going into hysterics. Don't stress over it, I promise she likes you back. She'd be crazy not to."
Padma leaned back onto her sister's shoulder. "I hope so."
Smiling, Parvati grabbed her sister's hand. "Let me help you out. You know what would help? A makeover."

An hour later, Padma emerged from her sister's dorm, feeling dazed. Parvati had teamed up with Lavender to make Padma feel prettier than she had felt her entire life. There had been so much makeup, hair products, and general cheerfulness that Padma felt that she could do anything.
"Ready?" Parvati asked, slipping her arm around her twin. Padma leaned into the gesture and Lavender wrapped her arms around both girls.
"Yeah," Padma said, smiling at her twin and the girl she was sure would be her future sister-in-law. "I'm ready."
"Then go," Parvati said, giving her a slow push.
Taking a deep breath, Padma set on the path back to Ravenclaw tower, forever grateful for her sisters.

"You look very pretty," Luna said, cocking her head to the side as she looked Padma up and down.
Padma smiled gratefully. "Thanks, my sister and Lav did it for me."
Luna smiled back. "They did a very good job, though you clearly didn't need it. Now, you said you wanted to ask a question? I assume you mean another question, not that one."
"Yes, I did," Padma said, taking a deep breath. "Luna, I… I… well, um, I-"
Luna laughed, kissing Padma's cheek. 'Yes, I will go out with you. Don't worry, Parvati warned me ahead of time."
"She did what?" Padma exclaimed but she was so grateful for her twin sister. Due to her help, she now had a date with the most beautiful girl she had ever seen.
