I took the inspiration for this from Once Upon a Time

The cursed characters are from the books, where they're faces are different from the films.

First names kept the same to avoid confusion.

Five years after the Cursed Child

Delphini and Rodolphus Lestrange were running through the think forest of Dean at midnight it was essential that they manage to find a clearing to catch the moon's light as they ran from the aurors. This curse was going to change everything for them. They couldn't just apparate because of the ban the aurors put on the woods so they couldn't just disappear. Unfortunately for them the Ministry of Magic had been warned and were doing everything in their power to stop them.

"Avada Kadvra!" yelled one, but it just missed Delphini by inches.

Rodolphus had managed to rescue her from her prison, but now there was a full scale manhunt going on. They both wanted to cast the curse to get revenge on their enemies.

They were almost there…

Hermione (the minister of magic), Harry Potter, Ron, Scorpios, Rose (who was holding her baby Jenny) and all the usual suspects were holding a meeting. Hermione was standing in front of them trying to tell them not to panic and that they've all faced worse.

"What will this curse do?" Draco asked.

"Rip us from everything we love" she told him sadly.

There were gasps around the room, Rose held a protective hand over her baby. She and Scorpius have been married for just over a year (the day after they left Hogwarts). Both of them were beyond happy and blissful. Rose was training to become a healer and Scorpius was now an auror. They and their families were delighted when they told them they were expecting.

"What do we know of the curse? How is it being made?" Rose asked.

Headmistress McGonagall stood up and faced the room.

"We have been brainstorming this" she gave Rose a nervous stare, "Unfortunately we're too late to stop the curse that is coming. It will take us to another land and we will forget who we are"

Everyone is looking panicked and scared but Hermione stands firm and tell them that there is hope.

"We do have reason to hope" she announced and everyone shut up to hear what she had to say.

"There is however a way, we managed to create a wardrobe, but only a baby can go through with magical and muggle blood" she was looking at her daughter now who was carrying such a baby in her arms.

Everyone was staring at Rose and Scorpius' baby is dawned on Rose what her mother was planning to do with her only child. The thought of it putting her daughter intro some magical wardrobe broke her heart. How do they even know it's safe? What if she never sees her again? All of these thoughts plagued her maternal mind.

"No!" she refused.

"Absolutely not!" Scorpius agreed.

"We have to!" Hermione argued.

"She's right" Harry backed her up, "We have no choice Rose, I wish it were different, but it's not. If we don't then she'll share our doom, we just have to hope and pray that she comes back for us one day"

Rose and Scorpius looked at each other and then looked at Kerry, so small and helpless. They both knew what they were saying was true. They loved her deeply but her only chance to survive was in that wardrobe. Even though it would tear their hearts in two to do it, Rose was heartbroken that Kerry was to be brought up without her and her husband. She looked into his eyes and knew he was as heartbroken as she was.

"We don't have a lot of time" Hermione told them with her voice quivering with emotion.

The wardrobe suddenly appeared at their side it looked ancient and sturdy with strange patterns on it. It didn't just look powerful it felt powerful.Rose whispered 'find us' and gave her to her father who kissed her on the forehead. He put his daughter into the wardrobe and disappeared into the ether.

The pesky aurors had been subdued and Delphini and Rodolphus were holding hands muttering the curse. A huge blast of black smoke rose high and made its way to take their enemies…

28 years later…

Kerry Young was a pretty twenty-eight-old private detective. She had flaming red hair and chocolate brown eyes, most of her teachers said she was clever but was a trouble-maker. When she was in school she would skip class and was what people refer to as a 'rebel'. Maybe it was because of the whole orphan thing, she doesn't know who her parents are, as she'd been found on the side of the road.

Kerry Young is now on the straight and narrow. Ever since that scaring incident ten years ago. Kerry had fallen in with a bad crowd and she ended up pregnant. She gave the baby away knowing she'd never have a good life with her. It had been painful beyond words but she knew she did the right thing.

Currently she is spying on a cheating husband, and getting paid very well for it. She lived in North London in a flat just above a pub. She was in her green Ford and chewing on a cheese and egg sandwich. Suddenly she saw movements by the curtains.

Yep, they were doing it alright!

Kerry dropped the sandwich and started taking photographs. Sometimes she really hated her job! But a living's a living after all. When she was finished (with more than enough evidence for the case to pass through easily), She parked her car, locked it and made her way to her flat. There was a separate staircase on the side of pub where her flat lay. When she opened the door she yelped out in surprise.

A little girl no older than ten stood before her with long, pale blond hair and silvery eyes. She was beautiful and excited to see her.

"Who are you and how did you get in here?" she ordered.

"I'm your daughter Jenny" she told Kerry, "The daughter you gave away ten years ago. You've got to come back with me!"

"Hang on, how did you even get in here?" Kerry demanded.

"I broke in" she shrugged like it was the obvious explanation.

"You broke in!" Kerry asked shocked, "You're ten how you even knew how to bust a lock? No that's not what matters. Where are your adoptive parents?"

"Scarsville, Surrey" Jenny admitted reluctantly, "You're family is trapped there. The evil witch Delphini trapped them there. All of the characters from the Harry Potter books are real! You are the daughter of Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy, and the granddaughter of Ron and Hermione. You've got to help them!"

She brought out a book with H.P inscribed on it, but it didn't look like the other Harry Potter books. First of all it was wide and couldn't have had more than 300 pages. Kerry felt sorry for the kid, but she guessed kids at that age had big imaginations. It was kinda cute really. Bless her.

"This book isn't like the published series. It tells the tale of how the curse came to be. You have to free our family. It's your duty"

Jenny held out the book for her to take, but Kerry kept where she was. It wouldn't do to be too attached.

"My only duty is getting you home" she corrected her.

"So you're coming to Scarsville?" Jenny asked hopefully.

"I am"

Welcome to Scarsville, Surrey!

Have a great time

That is the sign that loomed past them as they entered Scarsville. It seemed like an odd little place and she didn't know why. The town wasn't too big, and since it was almost midnight there was barely anyone there. A bed-and-breakfast called 'Shrieking Shack' came into view as she drove past it. A massive old looking tree was right in the middle of the town, if it was alive it could knock you to pieces.

It just seemed spooky and weird.

She noticed wall with a huge ornate clock on it that wasn't working. According to Jenny it hasn't worked in her lifetime.

"Where exactly do you live kid?" Kerry asked.

"The big house at the end of the street".

Kerry drove by a couple of houses and a pub called "The Drunk Goblin' where an a few people stumbled out of. When Jenny had described the house as big she was being modest. It was huge! With at least three stories with columns and an expensive car out front. Kerry stopped there and saw a woman in her early thirties come out, but she looked at bit older. Her hair was a silvery grey with heavy blue lipstick.

She ran out of the house as Kerry and Jenny got out of the house. The lady looked enraged and practicality stormed down the path to her adoptive daughter. She practicality had fire coming out of her nostrils.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!" she screamed at the top of her voice.

Jenny looked into the lady's eyes and told her:

"My birth mum is here" she said it smugly, "You're evil curse won't last forever"

Then she spat at her feet and ran into the house. Instead of following her she instead gave Kerry and up-and-down look. She could've sworn she's seen a flicker of worry in her eyes before they were replaced with hostility.

"Who the hell are you?" she sneered.

"Kerry Young" she introduced herself, "She just showed up at my house and told me some nonsense about a curse. I'm so sorry!"

"My name is Miss Delphini Riddle I am the mayor of this town".

The mayor? Kerry thought curiously, Jenny never mentioned her adoptive mother was the mayor. What else is that kid not saying?

"Well, I suppose you'll be making your way home now" Delphini remarked.

There was something off about this woman…but she didn't know why yet.

"It's actually kinda late so I'll just stay at an inn for the night. I saw on on my over here"

The mayor looked very disappointed but soon recovered herself. Kerry felt her eyes boring into the back of her head as she turned to get in her car, but when Kerry turned round for a moment she was gone.

The inn was a typical English bed-and-breakfast. Leaflets of what to do lined holder by the left. The theme was very old lady and traditional with British flags decorated around the place. Kerry entered the reception and which was small and cosy, a middle-aged ginger lady was snoozing on the counter. No ring on her finger, Kerry noticed and snored like a banshee. She tapped her shoulder to wake her up, she looked happy to see a customer but pissed that she'd been woken up.

"What can I do for you?" she asked groggily, "My name is Ginny Chaser and I manage this inn"

"Can you get me a room please?"

"Sure, seven is available" she turned around to get the key.

Kerry was about to thank Ginny for the room, when a man who has dark hair streaked with grey, is thin and tall. He was staring at her with interest and with his eyebrow raised.

"The rent is here Mr Novis" Ginny gave him a wad of cash which he swiftly began to count.

After a few tense moments he finished he put it in his pocket. Then he looked at her with a creepy expression.

"My name is Rodolphus Novis"

Like Rodolph the red nose reindeer? Of course there was something about him that made her not dare to say that to his face. So she just introduced herself for the second time tonight.

"My name is Kerry Young, and I'm just staying the night"

He looked at her with a mix of interest and disgust. Mr Novis merely shrugged and left the room.

"I'm sorry about that" Ginny apologised, "Room seven wasn't it?"

Both of them didn't notice anything, but the moment those keys touched her hand the clock in the town square started working again.

"Order up!" shouted one of the chefs.

Rose Red who is ginger hair (the irony is not lost on her), freckles but is skinny and attractive. She works as a waitress at nights and normally has to deal with the drunk crowd. Rose was 20-years of age and didn't do too well in school. She had always wanted to go back but there was something stopping her from doing so, it was really weird. Mostly, she felt alone and since she didn't have any family at all, on festivals like Christmas and stuff she was always alone. Sometimes she felt like she was mourning for a family she never had.

"Order up!" Ernie Prout shouted again from the kitchen.

"I'm coming!" she replied.

Ernie was in his mid-forties with blonde hair and grey streaks. He was a bit pompous sometimes but she liked him.

The diner was medium sized with plenty of tables full of friends, co-workers, families (and on the late-shift like this one) drunk.

A blonde-haired man with silvery eyes came into the diner, he looked around Rose's age. When she took the plate from the side she accidently ran into him- which sent the lasagne with garlic bread everywhere.

"I am so sorry!" Rose apologised.

She tried to clean it up but he put his hand on her arm and she felt a bolt of electricity go through her. They both locked eyes and seemed to be in some sort of trance.

"I'm Rose"

"I'm Scorpius"
