The party was loud. No two ways about that. But from where Roxas was sitting, it seemed like every noise in the room was amplified a hundred million times. The blond boy checked his phone.- it was 11:16. If he hurried, he could make it to the video store before it closed.

He was staring into his drink, trying to figure out the quickest and cheapest bus rout home, when he felt the couch cushion next to him shift. He looked over to see a redhead, settling comfortably into the corner. A smile tugged on Roxas's lips. The man was attractive to say the least- long legs, long hair, and facial tattoos- totally Roxas's type. The man stared into his drink, almost mirroring the blond.- he seemed to be in another place altogether.

Roxas turned his body to face the man. "You look kinda familiar. Have we met somewhere?" A little white lie never hurt.

The redhead blinked a little, and turned to the blond. "Sorry. I can't hear jack shit. Say that again?"

The blond chuckled a little. He couldn't hear much of anything, himself. "Nothing. It's just you look really familiar." His voice was noticeably louder this time.

The redhead shook his head. "Nah. I just moved here last week. I'm actually just here for the booze, man.." He smiled, mischievously.

Roxas chuckled again. "I feel ya. I came with my brother's friend, and he's off… somewhere. " He searched for the direction, but in his drunken state he couldn't remember where the stairs were- the one his brother's friend had gone up with a giggly redhead the moment they'd arrived.

"I don't know anyone else."

The redhead smiled confidently, and suddenly Roxas was beginning to have second thoughts about starting this conversation. Something about the other man's eyes screamed 'trouble.' "This can easily be fixed. The name's Axel." He extended his hand for a shake.

Roxas pushed his thoughts to the back of his mind. Just because this handsome stranger had eyes the same acid green color as the last one, didn't mean he'd end up with a broken heart and a mysterious case of gonorrhea.

He managed a smile. "Roxas." He took the other man's hand and shook it. He noted that he had a firm, grip. This man definitely knew what he was doing.
