"He can just sleep in a corner of our bedroom," said James, flipping through channels. The television Lily had installed in their apartment was enthralling to him. Finally, the Muggles had made images move and talk.

"We need a bedroom for our child," Lily cried, exasperated. "What will we do when our baby grows up?"

"That's why we have a couch."

"James, we're having a baby, not getting a dog!"

"A dog? Why would people keep a dog in their homes?" Comprehension dawned on James's face, and he pushed his glasses up his nose. "Oh… Is that what Muggles do?"

"Yes, and I was raised by them," Lily said. The baby kicked, and she sat down next to James. "We need to find a house in a wizard settlement."

"London?"

"Too easy."

"Hogsmeade."

"We might as well hand ourselves in to You-Know-Who."

"Lily?"

"Yes?"

"You didn't say his name." James sat up and switched the television off with his wand instead of the remote.

"What?" Lily asked, her thoughts on the baby in her that apparently wanted to kick its way out.

"You didn't say Voldemort's name," James repeated. A long silence greeted his words.

"I reckon I've been more afraid, now that I'm responsible for two lives in one body. James, I'm scared," she said, saying the last part while looking into her husband's hazel eyes.

James brought Lily closer and rested his chin on the top of her head. "I've been thinking," he started. "I know a place where we could live. Somewhere famous wizards have always gone, now forgotten."

"Where?"

"Godric's Hollow. Gryffindor's birthplace."

"Are you sure?" Lily asked, with a tone that indicated that she wasn't.

"Yes. We'll protect ourselves with the Fidelius Charm, make sure no one can hurt us."

"Can we really live through this? I mean, look at the Prewetts," Lily whispered, tears in her eyes at the thought of her friend Alice's relatives. Alice and Frank were also expecting a child.

"We can. We will raise our child together and fight this war," James said firmly. "Our home will be a safe place where no one can hurt us."

"No one can hurt us," Lily repeated.
