A Demigods Game

Percy Jackson, son of the Greek God, Poseidon, and American Food Network Star Sally Jackson, was relocated to Japan in order to get over the betrayals of his fellow demigods at Camp Halfblood and Camp Jupiter. While he was there, he happened to pick up a NerveGear and a copy of Sword Art Online. But like Percy, there was more to this game than meets the eye.

"Hey, what' going on here?" asked Percy Jackson

A redhead, a male in his late 20's, replied, "We are waiting for the release of the first Full Dive VRMMORPG, called Sword Art Online, or SAO for short."

"What's a VRMMORPG?" asked Percy, "Sorry, but I've never been too familiar with those really long gaming Acronyms"

"That's fine, I had just saved up enough to buy everything this past week. But anyways, it stands for Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games."

"That's quite the mouthful, I see why they abbreviated it, but what do they mean by 'virtual reality'. Is that like the Oculus Rift from 2010?"

"No, it's Full Dive Virtual Reality. That means that your brain is the controller, but your body in real life is stationary. I personally don't know exactly how it works, but I'm sure someone here does," replied the redhead.

Percy replied, "That's o.k. I don't need a full-blown explanation of the science behind it. How much is it?"

"About 72,100 yen"

"Wow, not bad, what does that include?"

"The game and the, for lack of a better term, console."

Oh, thought Percy, not bad, I might have to buy one.

"Well, you might wanna get in line, 'cause there are only ten thousand hard copies being sold, and only 500 are being sold at this store," said the redhead, who saw Percy's thoughtful expression.

"Thanks for the heads up. By the way, what's your name?" asked Percy

"My name is Ryoutarou. Yours?"

"Perseus Jackson, but you can call me Percy."
