Chapter 1
"Rory Rory Rory" Lorelai shouted, bursting through the front door of her house. Searching the whole house for her daughter and coming up empty, she pulls out her phone. She hits #1 on her speed dial impatiently waiting 3 rings "hello" Rory's voice finally said on the other end of the phone. Hello hello I've been looking all over town for you, and all you have to say is hello. I had to listen to Taylor lecture me for at least 30 minutes, about how my socks aren't the right shade of orange. For this year's fall festival and you're supposed to be here, but unless you have turned invisible you're not here" Lorelai rants through the phone. "Mom I moved out a month ago, remember the whole going to Yale thing." "Of course I remember, I just assumed our mother daughter bond would be strong enough, for you to know when I need you and you would just show up here." I'm sorry I'll come home this weekend I promise" Rory said. "All of this would easily be solved if we can develop telepathy, that way whenever one of us has news. Like major life altering news we could tell each other the second it happens. "Well I am attending one of the smartest schools in the country, so I guess I can sweet talk one of the science majors into working on it right away" Rory said sarcastically. A HOUR LATER AT YALE
Rory was carefully juggling a stack of books in her hands with a cup of coffee magically balanced on top of them. As she is walking through the threshold of her dorm room her cell phone starts to buzz. Dumping her books on the coffee table without spilling her coffee she digs around in her oversized bag for her phone. Finding it she smiles when she realizes it's a text from Logan they have sort of been seeing each other for a few weeks.
