I was heavily inspired to write this story thanks to Monster Musume, Monster Girl Encyclopedia (Do not read it unless you are eighteen or older), and Fablehaven. I put it under this category because I didn't know if I should have it under the book Misc Book section or not since some characters will have anime hair colors like blue for an example.

I have made some changes in the chapters making this an crossover story that is also an original story too.

Anyway... Please enjoy the story.

" You are going to love being here, Fiore. The crime rate is lower here at Avendale than Chicago. Plus there is an good school I will be suggesting to your aunt. Not to mention there is plenty of room for you to excise." A thirty year old man casually said while writing something in a clipboard. Fiore gives the social worker an odd look before turning her cerulean eyes towards the mansion aka her new home. It is an huge black two story mansion that was made up of three parts. Those parts are luxury, beautiful and possibly haunted. It even has what looks like an tower attached to the far left side of the building!

Only the two small statues gave Fiore some comfort as they are Chinese guard lions. On both sides of the porch are rose bushes. The roses haven't bloomed yet. But they should bloom soon.

She looks at the porch which seems inviting and the sounds of the wind chime calmed her nerves. Although the overlap of the roof and the clouds covering the sky made it dark. The creaking from the porch swing didn't help the situation at all. Neither did the jack-o'-lanterns lining the sides of the walkway and the gate leading to the mansion. Someone definitely loves Halloween. The 4'9 tall girl twirls an lock of dark brown hair that almost looks black around her right forefinger. This place is certainly giving her the creeps. Does anyone still live here?

It's been four years since she has last been to this mansion. The thirteen year old girl came here to live here for an week while she was nine years old. It was also the last time she saw her aunt Monica alive.

Fiore looks at the social worker again. The man has short light brown hair, slightly tan skin that is so far flawless, semi muscular and dark brown eyes that are focused between looking at the mansion and the clipboard. He is wearing an white tucked in shirt with an dark blue tie, black pants, and black professional looking shoes. Fiore remembers that her name is Cosmo Andronicus. It is easy to remember him since Fiore met him when he was both flirting and arguing with her mother's lawyer.

" Where is that woman? I know she works at the hospital, but she is late. She was supposed to be here to greet us now. I sort of wish her staff wasn't on vacation right at this moment." Cosmo impatiently muttered while looking up at the sky. It wasn't supposed to rain until nightfall, but the weather is unpredictable in this town sometimes. He had knocked on the door earlier to see if a maid or housekeeper was here. Nobody answered the door.

The woman happens to be Olivia Shepard. Fiore's adoptive paternal aunt and her deceased aunt Monica's girlfriend. She heard aunt Olivia had met her aunt Monica while she was at Japan. They were attending the same convention and they met due to a misunderstanding. They bonded over an unknown passion they both shared which eventually lead to their relationship. They were really good together.

Sadly, Monica passed away two years ago at the age of thirty-two when an mugger stabbed her during the time she and Olivia were talking about getting married. The mugger was never caught which severely depressed her father who never fully recovered from his younger sister's untimely death.

The police thought it was a hate crime because Monica was a lesbian. They ended up filing it as a cold case. Much to Fiore, her dad, Olivia's ire.

The girl barely remembers her and aunt Olivia. She barely saw them after the week she spent here. However she was aware that they cared about her as they often dotted on her during their visits. Plus they made sure that she was happy on her week long stay. It is strange for her memory of the week is spotty like she forgotten a few important details.

Hopefully aunt Olivia will help her fill in the blanks in her memory.

" Come on, Fiore. We should let ourselves in before it rains." Cosmo sighed while walking up the four stone steps leading to the porch. Fiore follows her before she glances at the curved brick path that she was on. For an second, she thought she heard someone. After an few seconds, she goes back to following the man who was about to open the door. The door opens on its own making Fiore yelp as she assumes that the door was opened by a ghost.

Instead of a ghost, a fair skinned boy with floppy dark purple hair with long fringe and several stands reach just past his shoulders is standing in front of them. He is wearing a white shirt with short purple sleeves and black shorts. Fiore notice he has purple eyes, although his right eye is covered with his bangs. Strangely his pupils are slits.

Cosmo straightens up. " Oh hello there! You must be Hanzo Urushihara! Ms. Shepard said you are her childhood friend's kid who needed a place to stay at. What took you so long on answering the door?" Fiore found the boy's last name more interesting then his first name.

The boy places his hands on his hips with an annoyed expression on his face. " My legs fell asleep while I was playing on my computer. I had to get the circulation back. And I'm not a kid! I'm eighteen!"

Fiore stares at him in shock. His height is definitely 5'0 making her assume he is an year older than her. She did expect him to be five years older than her.

" I apologize. I'm just used to talking to young teens and children. Do you mind if we come in? I don't want Fiore and I to get caught in the rain." The social worker awkwardly chuckled.

Urushihara steps aside to give them room to enter. " It isn't going to rain today. You should check the weather channel or the news more often."

The two enter the building which was actually warm yet not uncomfortable.

The entrance is roomier then most places the brunette has ever seen. In the right corner near the door is a umbrella stand with three umbrellas. On the other side is a hat rack. On the wall is hanging coat rack.

Fiore walks over to an small table with an mirror above it with a candelabra and a clay coin tray on top of the table. She grimaces at the sight of her pale skin. She does slightly smile at her clothes which is an pink dress with black lace trim, knee high checkered socks, and laced up white boots that she proceeds to take off. Fiore always likes shorts too, but the gothic and sweet Lolita style dresses are her favorite. Her aunt Monica was partly responsible for that because she used to show her pictures of the dresses.

The brunette girl soon notices Cosmo and Urushihara walking into the blue living room. She abandons the hallway mirror and enters the living room. It was big and pleasant. There is an unlit fireplace with an big flat screen TV hanging above it, with an wooden ledge with an blueray player, and a Xbox in between. Next to the doorway is an antique grandfather clock. There is an open entrance leading to the kitchen, and a door is on the left side of the fireplace. It has to be her aunt Monica's old office. The number of furniture was unexpected.

An red couch, an blue loveseat, an grey chaise longue, an obvious sofa bed, an leather recliner, and a green club chair where in different positions yet they were where people can still look at each other. The only other furniture in the room is a ottoman plus a coffee table. Olivia must really like having company over. Fiore notices a big wide red rug with gold color sides under the coffee table. She also notice a door close to the fireplace. It must lead to her aunt Monica's study.

She glances at the ceiling to see a lazily moving white bladed ceiling fan with a circular lamp. The string is missing making her wonder if clapping will turn the light on. The two windows have white closed blinds making the living room dark a little dark.

Cosmo sits down on the recliner while Fiore sits in the couch across from him. The teen sits down next to her. " I feel like I am about to be interrogated by the principal with my brother." The young girl thought watching Cosmo look through the sheet of paper on the clipboard. Oh how she wishes that she had a brother. The loneliness wouldn't have been so bad.

" Up until now, you only lived in an apartment with your parents before they decided to file for divorce." The social worker commented instead of asking. He made it clear he needed her to answer it even though it was not an question.

" Yes. My dad liked living in apartments than houses because he thought houses were natural targets for burglars. He was paranoid about someone stealing our important items. My mom hated living in an apartment so much to the point she couldn't handle it anymore. She ranted and raved about how much she hated living in a dingy apartment, and how much she hated dad. That was whenever she had too much to drink. She was slightly nicer when she was sober. However she still verbally abused him. He took every last insult fine up until she did something he couldn't forgive." Fiore frowned at the memories that led to her being placed in her aunt's care.

What led to the divorce was her mom's affair with Fiore's doctor. They started the affair when Fiore first went to see him for an check up. He was more handsome, didn't tell lame puns and had more money than her dad. Those three are the main reason why her mom fell for him.

The affair apparently went on for four years. The day she was sent to her aunt Monica and aunt Olivia's home was because her dad was on an business trip. Her mom claimed she was 'sick' and sent her away to spend time with healthy people so she wouldn't get sick.

In truth, her mom was spending the entire week with her lover.

Her dad caught them about to put on their clothes back on themselves. He only caught them after they did some adult things, but seeing them naked made him realize what was going on. He was going to tell her he had got an major promotion. After seeing what was going on he went berserk something he had never done before.

Fiore never saw the whole thing except she did learned everything from her mom's lawyer who picked her up from school.

It was devastating learning her dad was arrested for attacking her doctor in an moment of rage. He wasn't going to be getting out of prison for an very long time since her doctor ended up dying from his wounds. Her dad refused to see her probably because she looks too much like her mother. She wished she could tell him she will never become someone awful as her so called mom.

It also hurt seeing her dad sign the divorce papers that were made an few days before the incident. He shouldn't have looked so mad while he signed them. She wanted to see be the kind gentle man he was before this. Sadly that man died that day along with the doctor.

The worst was her mom leaving for California without her leaving the lawyer to console and tell her everything. Fiore resents her for everything. She threw away something that could've been really special if she let go of her unpleasant side. But Fiore cannot understand why it still hurts.

In one entire day she lost her family. She only loved them yet why did she have to go through all that pain? Did they never love her back? Well her mom didn't love her back since she never talked or touched her unless she was putting on an act around other people.

Maybe Fiore still loved her mom because she still brought her into this world. She should have never loved her. It only brought her misery that left her broken inside by loving a mother who wouldn't love her back. Just what is an caring family supposed to feel like? And is unconditional love really worth it?

Olivia isn't really her aunt even though she calls her that. The woman listed as next of kin should anything happened. Which is why she is going to be living with in the mansion belonging to the Bloodworths. Her father's family.

Her dad wanted nothing to do with the mansion for some unknown reason leaving his Monica his sister to inherited it. He was pretty spooked the day he came to pick her up after her week long visit.

Because he is so scared of the mansion, he willingly let Olivia keep the mansion even though he was supposed to inherited the mansion since it has always belonged to the Bloodworth family. The idea of moving back to the mansion seemed to terrify him.

" Fiore, what happened was tragic. I know it hurts being abandoned in one day. But you have me and your aunt to watch over you. We will take care of you." Cosmo gave her an warm fatherly smile. He glances at the purple haired teen who is no longer paying attention to the conversation. " And I am sure Urushihara will watch over you whenever Ms. Shepard is at work."

" Thank you, Mr. Andronicus." Fiore thanked him with an sweet smile hiding her pain. The smile reminded her too much of her dad who is a stranger to her now even through she still cares about him.

Cosmo looks at the grandfather clock with an worried expression on his face. He must have another appointment or he has a date.

" Mr. Andronicus, I can stay here by myself until my aunt arrives. I'm sure she will be home soon before nightfall." Fiore told him.

" Are you sure? I feel very uncomfortable leaving you here by yourself. Your aunt might be gone for an long time. The Avandale hospital gets busy sometimes."

" Dude, I'm right here. Stop talking like I am not here." Urushihara grumbled.

" Don't worry. I will call you or run to the nearest house if anything should happen." Although there isn't any houses on either side of the mansion. It also depends on if someone from the houses from down the street are home by this time. She didn't say that out loud.

Urushihara made an noise that she can't tell if it is a protest or an agreement.

Cosmo sighed at Fiore's stubbornness as he gets up from the recliner. He walks to the doorway only to pause. " If your aunt arrives before seven o'clock. Please tell her to call me. I need to ask her an few questions about her property. So don't go exploring by yourself until I declare that this place is safe." He warned her.

Fiore nods her head satisfying him. She waits for him to leave before she lays down on the couch. She also waits for Urushihara to leave the room too. The teen pauses like Cosmo had. " My room is passed the staircase. If you need me, feel free to come by there. Though I can't guarantee whether or not I will help. Physical labor is not my strong suit." He said. He then walks away.

She stares up at the smooth blue ceiling letting her thoughts wander.

An week ago she had to live with her elderly neighbor while her stuff was sent here. Her neighbor was nice unlike the others. They only saw her as the daughter of an murderer and a woman who slept around. They judged her for what her parents did. She didn't have to be a mind reader to see they thought she would be like her mom or commit a murder like her dad.

Fiore just wants to be herself without having to become like her parents. She wants to be a confectioner or a chocolatier when she gets older. Why couldn't her neighbors understand her wish to someone who isn't like her parents? Why didn't they believe her when she told them her dream job?

One day, one week and a two hour flight was all it took to change her enter life. Fiore closes her eyes hoping that maybe she would get some sleep.

It was five o'clock when Fiore woke up from her nap. She only slept for half an hour. " I think that was the first good sleep I had in a long while." She yawned stretching her arms. She picks up a picture frame on the coffee table she didn't see before. It is a picture of a beautiful woman with long voluminous red, fair skin with light freckles, slender, and lovely cerulean eyes. She is wearing a sleeveless white dress. The woman looks so happy in the picture.

The woman was Fiore's aunt Monica. The picture was taken two months before she died.

Fiore remembered Monica was brave, kind and adventurous. Both her and Olivia loved to travel to places new and old. It was one of their favorite passions besides mythologies and mystery stories. Monica was always promising to take her any country she wanted to go to for her sixteenth birthday.

Three more years until her sixteenth birthday. Three more birthdays her aunt will miss along with many more birthdays.

She gets up from the couch and casually walks to the staircase. The long blue rug covering the steps muffled her steps. She walks up to the next floor to see multiple doors. She raises an eyebrow at the sight. The architect was probably drunk when he designed the house.

She eventually shakes her head and continues her journey. She only pauses at the door with an golden plaque that has her name.

Fiore grasps the knob and turns it while lightly pushing it open. She was taken aback by the room. The bedroom has pink paint on the walls, pink carpet and hanging in the middle of the white ceiling is an five tier wedding cake crystal chandelier. At the other side of the room is the glass door leading to the balcony which is covered up by thick white curtains. Next to it is an four poster bed with lavender color curtains. The mattress looks push even with the white bed cover, white sheet, and pink comforter. The four pillows and the heart shape decorative pillow made it even better.

Next to the bed on the right side is a white nightstand with an antique lamp on top. Fiore notice an vanity table on the far right side is next to the bathroom. And a full length mirror is next to the closet on the far left side. She also saw her stuffed animals and cute ballerina figurines have been put up.

There is even a white bookshelf filled with her books. By the sliding glass door leading to the balcony is a rocking chair which will give her a good place to read or stare outside.

On the ceiling is a vent for the air conditioner or heater to cool or warm up the room. Mounted on the right wall that she can easily see from her bed is a medium size flat screen TV.

" I only been in this room for an week and so much has changed. However it feels like I have always been in this room... This is supposed to be my new home after all..." Fiore thought walking further into the room. Maybe this is an sign that she will be happy. She opens the drawer in the nightstand to see her laptop and IPad inside it.

She goes into the powder blue bathroom. It is exactly how she remembers it.

The white tile floor is smooth enough to slide around if she wanted to. The white porcelain sink is squeaky clean. Next to the sink is a lime green toilet with a white seat. The toilet paper holder already has a brand new roll on it. above the sink is a small cabinet with the towels inside. The final thing in the bathroom is a walk in shower with only glass cubes stacked together for privacy.

Fiore used to ignore the fact anyone can easily enter the shower when she was younger. Now she felt a little uneasy. But it's not like a guy is living here, so she doesn't have to worry about that.

She reenters the bedroom and immediately walks over to the mirror. "The mirror is new. Maybe aunt Olivia decided to give me another one. Although the vanity mirror is fine." She reaches out to touch the smooth surface of the glass. The glass felt off somehow. She couldn't understand what was off as it looks completely normal. The glass felt icy and warped despite the fact it looks smooth.

The sounds of the doorbell ringing caught Fiore's attention. She leaves the bedroom and quickly goes downstairs. She opens the door to find an pizza box in front of her face. Umm what?

" Pizza delivery!" An female voice with an Spanish accent giggled. Fiore looks up from the box to see an college age girl with medium length straight black hair, tan skin, and kind yet playful light green eyes. She has a perfect slender build with a D cup size chest and 5'5 tall. She is wearing red shorts that look way too small, white sneakers and a loose black hoodie. Fiore mentally notes she is wearing an engagement ring.

" I didn't order anything." Fiore managed to get out trying to ignore the delicious smell coming from the box. She still hasn't found the house phone yet, so it is currently impossible for her to call anyone at the moment. Then again she does still have her cellphone...

" Oh I know, hun! Ms. Shepard called me an hour ago asking me to order a pizza for you. It must be her way of apologizing for being so busy. By the way, my name is Isabella Cardona. I live across the street." The older girl smiled.

" I'm guessing aunt Olivia had an emergency at the hospital." Fiore sighed while taking the pizza box. Hopefully it is either hamburger, pepperoni, or plain cheese. She will cringe if it is sardines. She could only handle eating fish sticks.

" She has an emergency surgery to do. I think she said it is an open heart surgery. Plus her cook is on vacation. I really couldn't understand her with so much noise in background." Isabella agreed. She turns around to leave. She looks over her shoulder and playfully winks at the young girl. " Come by my place anytime. You look like an a cool kid to hang out with." With that, she walks away from the house.

Fiore waits for her to be out of eyesight. Once she couldn't see her anymore, she closes the front door. She enter the living room and places the pizza box on the coffee table. She opens the lid to see an large size meat lovers pizza.

Fiore will thank Isabella for the magnificent pizza when she sees her again.

Fiore smooth her turquoise nightgown before she resumes using the towel to dry her hair in her bathroom. That shower is exactly what she needed. She feels much more relax and still pleasantly full from eating four slices of pizza. " Maybe living here isn't so bad..." She mumbled out loud. She reenters her bedroom with her eyes closed in pure bliss. The warm soft carpet feels nice on her bare feet after standing on the cold tile floor in the bathroom.

" You look content." An amused unknown voice commented.

Fiore's eyes snap open in shock. What should be her reflection in the mirror wasn't her at all. Instead an girl her age and height is literally in the mirror. She has long wavy pink hair, pale skin that seems unnatural on an living person, and blood red eyes with slit pupils. She is wearing an black dress that heavily resembles an Victorian style dress and an mourning dress, black pantyhose, and black heel shoes making her slightly taller than Fiore. The thing that disturbed the brunette girl is the other girl's smile that exposes her two fangs that a vampire should have.

" Awww! I can hear your heart beat accelerating even from this mirror! How adorable!" The unknown girl laughed rather maliciously. Fiore takes an step backwards out of fear. She didn't know who this girl is, but every fiber of her being is saying that she is dangerous.

" Oh come on! I'm only messing with you! Can't you tell when someone is playing an prank on you?" The girl's smile turns into an teasing smirk. " You humans get scared so easily. Fear is an powerful emotion that can break, destroy or make you do crazy things. So which one applies to you?"

Fiore warily looks at the girl in the mirror. She decides to ignore the taunts. " Who are you? And what are you?"

" So you are neither. Wasn't expecting that response. I honestly thought you would faint. My name is Crona. I am an vampire who stupidly fell into an enchanted mirror. Olivia was supposed to free me yesterday, but apparently I'm not her top priority. First she makes me wear girl clothes than she forgets about me. Even my own brother hasn't come to my aid." Crona huffed while crossing her arms. " I should cut my hair and change into boy clothes the moment I get out just so I can annoy Olivia.

Wait an second...

" Did you say my aunt makes you wear girl clothes? Does that mean you are an boy?" Fiore questioned the trapped vampire. Her aunt is weird after all, so this only slightly surprises her. She still remembers her aunt insisting on wearing an revealing evening gown to her eighth birthday. Her mother was more mad that she was getting the attention from the single dads than getting mad over the inappropriate dress. Perhaps her mom was cheating on her dad longer than she originally thought.

Crona gives her a blank look. " Seriously? You are concerned about my gender instead of obvious?" The brunette nods her head making him sigh. " Just so you know, I'm not going to peek on you whenever you change your clothes because I'm not a pervert. Jeez... Olivia must have informed you about the mansion and it's inhabitants already since you are not questioning about vampires or this accursed mirror."

" I haven't seen aunt Olivia at all today. She is still at the hospital doing emergency surgery on an patient." Fiore told him earning an flabbergasted look.

" You haven't seen anyone else around, have you?"

" No. Was I suppose to?"

Crona frowns at the answer. He looks absolutely confused making Fiore wonder what is going on. Finally he shrugs his shoulders.

" She must have told everyone to hide from you until she broke the news. Yeah, she probably did." He mumbled mostly to himself confusing Fiore.

Who else is here? She doesn't remember seeing anyone else here when she came here four years ago. Sure she was only nine, but she should still be able to remember seeing other people in this mansion.

" You should probably go to bed now. I'll wake you up if I hear anything." Crona said after a few moments of silence.

Fiore gets on the bed and lays down on the bed. It was only seven o'clock. So why was it important to sleep right now? Thankfully she is still tired from her long trip.

" My name is Fiore in case you were wondering what my name is." Fiore whispered while closing her eyes.

" It's an lovely name." She barely heard Crona say that before everything goes dark.
