Kate and Nico both sat next to each other on her bunk in Apollo's cabin, twiddling their thumbs and occasionally trying to make conversation. They had been together for a few years now, but the spark seemed to be missing. They weren't even sure it was there in the first place. Kate sighed and turned to Nico.
"Nico… there's something I need to tell you," she said, tugging on her short hair.
"Yeah?" he responded half-heartedly.
"Er I don't really know how to say this, so I'm just gonna say it. I'm pretty sure I'm attracted to girls. And like, only girls," she forced out.
"Oh my gods," Nico said. "I've pretty much realized I'm gay too!"
"Oh man this is the coolest thing ever!" Kate said, high fiving her now ex-boyfriend. "Vagina game was too strong for you, huh?" Nico turned bright red.
"Oh my gods what," he said. Kate laughed and wrapped an arm around him.
"So, we still can be tight and stuff now right because you are a p cool dude so like," she said.
"Er, yeah of course," he replied. Kate smiled and leaned back
"Also, are huntresses of Artemis allowed to date girls because, daaaang, Thalia is a total babe," she asked.
