Heyo! I'm fairly new to this fandom, just about to wrap up season two. I've been watching WAY too many ridiculously funny clips, and this was spawned by one of them.

I don't own SPN, but Ariel is all mine.

This will be a series of three one shots, maybe more.

All. About. Pie.

There were days when you just needed a pie. And for Ariel, today was one of those days.

She hopped on her bike, and rode down to the small grocery store in town, chaining her bike up before entering. She pushed the door open and headed to the cash register, looking at the pie display case.

There was only one pie left, a single apple pie. She looked up at the cashier, a teenage boy around nineteen or so. So, around three or four years older than herself. "Excuse me, I'd like to purchase that pie." The cashier pulled his earbuds out quickly and looked at Ariel.

"Yeah, sure. Twelve dollars." The boy pulled the pie out of the case and handed it to Ariel, who promptly handed him a small pile of crumpled bills. "Have a nice day and come again."

"Thank you, and I will." Ariel replied as the door swung open, the little bell above it jangling at the arrival of a prospective customer. A man around thirty or forty wearing a tan trench coat entered the small store, grabbing a cart and strolling around, picking up various assorted items.

The man, it seemed to Ariel, was incredibly clumsy, as he broke an egg on the floor, failed to close the door to one of the refrigeration units, and knocked over a display rack. Each time the man had a 'mishap' as Ariel was calling them, the boy behind the cash register sighed and muttered "Dude…"

As the man headed towards the register, he took notice of the pie case, which was newly emptied. "Where's the pie?" He asked in a gravelly voice, placing his hands on the counter.

"It looks like we're out." The boy remarked in an annoyed manner. The man grabbed the boy by the collar of his shirt.

"You don't understand. I. Need. Pie." He all but growls and Ariel looks from her bag with the pie to the man and back.

She'd been wanting a pie for a couple of days now, and now that she finally had it, the cashier was being harassed because there was no pie left. She sighed and knew what she had to do.

"Excuse me, mister?" She piped up and the man turned towards her, not loosening his grip on the cashier, whose name (according to his name tag) was Enrique. She pulled the last pie, her apple pie, out of her bag and held it out to the man. He immediately dropped Enrique and stared at the pie.

"Is it alright? May I have that pie?" He asked, eyes shining.

Ariel nodded.

"But you spent your money on it."

Ariel shrugged. "It's just a pie. I can just go buy another one."

The man took the pie and nodded. "Thank you."

"No problem."

And with that, the man left the store without apologizing to Enrique. Ariel cast a sympathetic glance back and left as well.

The man was nowhere to be seen, no car starting up, no trace that he was ever there save for the fact that Ariel wasted twelve dollars on a pie that she wouldn't even be able to eat.

As she approached her bicycle, she saw a note in the basket. 'I will pay you back for the pie someday. -Castiel' the note read. Ariel stared at the note for a moment, rolling the man's name over and over in her head. 'That's the name of an angel. He has an angel name, like me.' Ariel smiled at that thought, hopping on her bike and heading home.

She had a gut feeling that she'd see the man, Castiel, again.
