There she was. Sitting in the booth, stirring up a chocolate malt. The blonde was alone and staring at her desert, lost in thought.
She didn't appear to be sad, Jimmy thought to himself. Just...thinking. Maybe a little sad, but overall pensive.
He sat across from her at the table. "Hey Nerdtron." She stated, still staring at her malt. He said nothing.
This was so weird! So out-of-character for her. No insults, no picking fights, no talking, no laughing, not even a smile and a snide comment about his invention...nothing.
"Everything...okay, Vortex?" She winced a little, and his eyes grew.
"Yeah, fine."
"Missing Timmy?" Jimmy bluntly asked, the name bringing back painful flashbacks about the blonde he adored (still unknowing to him) with the brown-haired blue-eyed weirdo.
"...yeah." Now she seemed sad. She sighed, and held her head in her hand.
"What did you see in the little guy, anyhow?" He asked, his voice growing in frustration. Here was this beautiful, strong, independent, witty, fiery, passionate woman chasing after some idiot from a different dimension while the only person that could challenge her is right here...
"He treated me like a person." She finished. His eyes grew wider. Here was dynamite Cindy, didn't have a weakness, didn't have emotions other than anger...admitting to him how she felt?! Her intellectual enemy?! "I've never been treated like a person, before. It felt...nice."
"I treat you like a person."
"No, you don't." She finally looked at him, all care gone from her eyes. He grew concerned about the fact that she was readily admitting something that meant so much to her. But, he assumed that maybe she didn't care about being strong anymore. There was no denying it, no pretending. "You treat me as a bothersome child to take on your trips. You treat me as a despicable idiot that can't even compare to your intellect. You spend more time with your inventions than any other person on the planet. Part of the reason why I resent you so much is because I care about you, Jimmy. And I had hoped that someone I cared about would care about me, too." She left him shocked at the table, sadly walking away. "Oh, and he called me Cindy." She said, turning to him, before walking out the door. The dumbstruck Jimmy darted out the door, calling her name, but she was no where to be found.

"What's your invention this time, Spewtron?!" Cindy laughed in Jimmy's lab, causing Libby to roll her eyes and smile. Sheen and Carl snarled at the blonde, defending their friend/
"Just you wait, Vortex!" Jimmy growled, his eyebrows crinkling together. "It'll be amazing!"
"So I guess that moment we had in the shop is gone." He thought. "We've reverted back to our old ways. No matter. One day, I'll show her that I care."
