Slowly and steadily covenant forces crushed the inner colony Resistance these battles climaxed at the battle of reach and battles of earth
2552 Battle of earth And alliance with Elite forces
The covenant discover the location of earth and began assault first 2 attack waves held off successfully 3rd held off with help of friendly elite forces
2552-2560 the Humans Fight Back
human and elite forces nova bomb and siege all major covenant strongholds except home world of brutes and prophets as elite forces cannot supply those co-ordinates
2561 beginning of story
Sir Terrance Hood eased Back in his chair fairly relaxed after all they forced the covenant into hiding had detonated all halo rings and the covenants high charity thusly eliminating the two biggest threats to the human race the halo rings, and the flood. The only downside was the loss of all the Spartans including the 2,3,and 4 series but the covenant threat had almost entirely been eliminated and their had not been an attack on human space since 2556 and soon permanent peace talks where to begin with the elites it seemed there might be hope after all. Lord hood welcomed the idea of peace to retire to his family. It seemed as though this nightmare would finally end he was sure they could win this war and he was sure he wouldn't fight in another battle after all his job was to defend earth and there had not a single attack in six years on any human world let alone earth and the news from the front line kept getting better from what he knew they had recently discovered the prophets home world and they where already prepping for the assault on it apparently command had decided that there might be valuable lintel on that world so they would land on the surface and take rather than nova bombing the system it would be tough but they estimated the world would be ours within the month maybe less with the help from the elites
Lord hoods PDA buzzed snapping him out of his thoughts. He smiled internally it was the new specifications for the redone human body armor and standard issue rifle everything has been completely redone with help from the elites of course
