Prologue: Today is the Day
Star City, July 4, 9:01 am PDT

Freeze Junior landed on the bridge, flipping over cars and causing collisions with his ice powers.
But, before he could do too much damage, three arrows pierced the ice next to him, a fourth landing on his shoulder. The villain barely had time to look shocked at the blinking, beeping light on the end of the arrow shaft before it detonated, blasting him to the side.
He looked up to see Green Arrow and Speedy standing on top of the bridge, weapons notched and ready.
"Finally." Freeze Junior stated, "I was wondering what a guy had to do to get a bit of attention around here."
With that, the icy evildoer make his arms grow larger and sent frozen spikes towards the heroes.
But, before they could make contact with the archers, a bolt of lightning shot out from the side, blasting the ice out of the air.
"Huh?" The cryokinetic grunted confusedly before shaking his head dismissively and shooting even more icy ammo at the duo, causing the two to jump off their perch and onto one of the many cables lining the bridge.
The frost villain grew frustrated and formed a thick shield in front of him using his ice powers, causing the incoming arrows to miss their target.
"Ha!" he smirked victoriously, "Try and reach me now!"
"With pleasure." a feminine voice rang out from behind Freeze Junior prompting him to whirl around in shock.
Standing behind him was a girl who looked to be about 15 with long brown hair and intense bright blue eyes that were covered by a black and white checkered mask. She was wearing a white long sleeved crop top with a black lightning bolt in the center and short black and white striped shorts with a black utility belt around her waist. She had on black and white boots and long black and white fingerless gloves, completing her outfit.
Before he could move a muscle, the girl's fist shot forward, a little smirk on her face as the villain was knocked out cold.
"Someone seems to be in a hurry." Green Arrow's voice called out as he approached the girl, Speedy on his heels.
"Why wouldn't she be?" Speedy stated in his normal blunt tone as the three of them began to walk off of the bridge as the police sirens began to wail in the distance.
"Exactly." the girl added, a grin on her face, "After all..."
"Today is the day." she finished as the trio made their way to the Hall of Justice, the place where five sidekicks lives would change forever.
