The Prompt: Relentless by country artist Jason Aldean
Supervisory Special Agent in Charge Aaron Hotchner sat and stared at his living room wall as his thoughts all went to one person. His love for Supervisory Special Agent Emily Prentiss was relentless. He did not really like feeling the way he did about her but he also knew that it would never change. After all it had yet to change in the four years he has been in love with her so why would it change now?
He stared up at the picture of the two of them on the wall. He smiled as he remembered the day it was taken. They had just started dating and were out at Dave's for a barbecue. It was one of the best days of his life. In the four years that they had been together there has been a lot of best days of his life now. He did not know that he could be so happy.
As he waited on her to come out of the bathroom from the shower she was taking he thought about earlier that day. He still could not believe that it had taken four years before he finally made her his wife. Today was the day that they had joined their lives to become one even more than they already were.
The reason he hated feeling as he did was because everything he felt was ten times more than he ever felt for his deceased ex wife. He was not sure if that was a good thing or not. When he lost Haley to Foyet it just about destroyed him. How would he feel if he lost Emily to someone? He had no doubt that it would destroy him. Yet then again he also knew that Emily knew how to protect herself and he knew that she would never put herself in danger just like he would never put himself in danger.
His love was relentless and he gave up trying to figure out how he had come to love her as much as he did. He would just go with the flow and enjoy the life that him, Emily, Jack and their unborn child would have. He smiled at his new wife as she came out to the living room. He was the luckiest man alive.
