Remus Lupin congratulated himself on finding a muggle car to rent. This Christmas, he, along with James, Sirius, Lily, Aurelia and Lydia were going to rent this little muggle cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was one of his greater ideas, along with locating a muggle rental joint. Sure, the car was a crummy little thing that looked like it was gonna break-down after the first 100 yards, but it was better than some of the other ideas Sirius and James had had. He'd hidden it in a patch of woodland near Hogsmeade, until they could leave.

"Remus! " He looked up at the mention of his name. It was his girlfriend, Aurelia. He smiled at her in greeting, feeling colour rise to his cheeks.

"Finished packing? " He nodded in response.

"Good. Lyds and Lily are taking ages…I told them only to pack lightly! " She smiled and rolled her eyes, sitting next to him on the window sill.

"Sirius and James are busy getting food for the journey…knowing them, we'll be behind schedule anyway. " He replied, wrapping an arm around her waist.

Half an hour later, Sirius and James had turned up with enough food to fed a small army. Remus accompanied them to the car, while Aurelia chased up the others. Five minutes later, they were all in the common room with their bags.

"Lookin' good, Stokes. " Sirius flashed a smile at Lydia, taking her bag, who rolled her eyes at him.

"Tell me, Black, are you going to be like this all holiday? If that's the case, I might as well stay here. "

"You know you love the attention, really. You'd miss me too much if you stayed here. " He smirked; she shrugged in reply, which made him smirk even more.

"Are two gonna quit bickering or are we going to have to leave you here for Christmas? " Remus asked, getting impatient with the pair of them. They shut up.

"Good. Now let's get there before it's New Year's Eve! " He said briskly.

Several hours later, it was pitch black and they were still trying to find the cabin. One of the floodlights had stopped working, and the heating was dodgy, so everyone was freezing. Lily and James were snuggled up together on the back-seat, and Remus and Aur were hogging the front, leaving Lydia and Sirius the middle. Lydia had told Sirius to sit as far away from her as physically possible. Now, she was having second thoughts, seeing as she believed she was going to die from frostbite or something similar. Sirius looked at her shivering and thought, 'Should have worn something warmer…'

She noticed him staring and asked somewhat grumply, "What? "

"You're cold. " He stated.

"Yes. I am. " She replied. He took off his jacket and handed it to her. When she opened her mouth to object, he shook his head and said, "Look, you're freezing, just take it will you? "

She reluctantly put it on, then murmured, "I'm still cold. "

"Me too. " He smiled, un-did his seatbelt, and shifted over to the middle seat, and closer to her. He wrapped an arm around her, holding her close. She was too tired to protest. He smiled to himself as she rested her head on his shoulder, noticing how pleasant it was to be near her.

Aurelia looked over at them, and nodded to Lily, who smiled back. They looked cute together, even if they argued like mad.
