Death in Abundance

The smile died on her lips, her laughter already fading.
She was still staring at the white letter with the black writing, reading it again and again as if trying to find something, anything, that indicated it was just a bad joke.
It seemed she couldn't hear the concerned voices of her friends, instead her own heartbeat thundered in her ears and her breath hitched, softly so no one noticed.
A feeble attempt at an excuse got her away from everyone, she threw herself on her bed and she found she couldn't breathe.
She was drowning in her own tears.
A/N: I'm not completely sure where this one came from. I just started to write and suddenly it was there, exactly a hundred words, even a title. Please review, they make my day.
