Yay! finally I write about one of the pairs that I simply adore!

I really hope you enjoy this, this idea totally got to me as I was watching one of the dubbed episodes on youtube.

He didn't make it.

He became an elite ninja, one of the best. He was in ANBU for six and a half years, eighteen months of which he spent as an ANBU captain.

Then he retired from that, into the life of an easy going Jonin. He took on a couple of genin teams, one of which he was proud to have his son on.

He watched all of his teams' progress into high ranking Chunin or Jonin.

Of course he has lost a few.

It was the way of the ninja.

He wanted to marry an average girl.

He didn't, nothing seemed to go the way he planned.

His wife was not normal with average looks.

She was stunning both in body and in skill.

She wasn't demure and quiet, she was hot tempered and more than not, usually tempted t hit him over the head with her abnormally large fan.

He knew her form past experiences but when she was appointed Ambassador to Konoha everything changed.

Within six days of her first official visit to Konoha they got married.

Jumping the gun was something Shikamaru totally didn't expect.

Though the sex was great.

He wanted two kids, a girl, then a boy, the girl would get married and the boy would be a sufficient Shinobi.

His son came first, became a member of his father's third genin team, and then became a Chunin.

However things didn't go as planned.

His son didn't become a successful ninja, he fell in love and married a princess from Rain Country.

He became a good diplomat and politician. And he became a good father.

His daughter became the successful ninja, she flew through the academy, became a genin at 10 and a Chunin at 11. She joined ANBU when she was 13.

She stayed in the ANBU Black Ops. For 10 years. Then she accepted the position of Ambassador to Suna, relieving her mother of her duties.

She lived in the land of her mother's people until she fell in love with the daughter of an elite ninja of Suna, then they traveled together, collecting information for Suna.

They were very happy.

But they scared her father sometimes, she was so like her mother.

Then he wanted to die before his wife, surrounded by his family and friends.

It didn't happen, predictably.

Like was so troublesome.

He and his wife were sent out as part of a reserve squad against the second war of Cloud, who had just assassinated the sixth Hokage, days before his retirement.

The sixth Hokage was the greatest of the Uzumaki's.

They were surrounded, and they stood back to back to fight.

They were even impaled by the same sword.

They died together, and if you want to get technical, she died ten seconds before he did.

She as 57.

He was 54.

Life is as troublesome as it gets, but my, is it worth it.
