He took a deep breath knowing as his final thoughts go through his head.
Today was gonna be the day
He knew it had to be today if he was going to do this.
He´d already wrote the note
Dear Friends;
Know that I love you and nothing will change but I have to do this.
Love
Reid
And parked that Chevrolet
The thoughts ran through his head as he put the truck into park.
At the end of that dead end road
This was the only spot that he could think about that no one could stop him from what he had to do.
Had his finger on the trigger; just about to end everything
He picked up his father's 9mm in his hands and put his right pointer finger on the trigger.
He was taking one last long breathe; when he heard his cell phone ring
He took a final deep breath before a heavy rock tune ringtone starts to go throughout the truck.
It was Tyler.
And his best friends say man where you been?
'Typical Baby Boy,' Reid thought.
We´re headed down to the lake this weekend
He was going on about him and the guys going down to the lake.
You better not miss it ´cause buddy I swear
Now he was lecturing him about being so distant lately.
It won't be the same if you ain't there
How it was never much fun without him there.
And I told that girl that you like so much
'Wow he talked to her,' he thought.
You were coming along and her eyes lit up
'Great job Baby Boy,' his thinks angrily.
I better let you go man I really hope I didn't catch you in the middle of anything
'Happy you did Baby Boy,' Reid thinks.
He said you kinda did but I don't mind at all
That was him being true
I'm glad you called
'You just saved my life,' Reid thinks.
In another town down the road
Over in Boston
In the backseat of a car
Of Caleb's Silver Mustang
Two 18 year olds had let a kiss go to far
Caleb and Sarah let a couple kisses go
He said how are we gonna have this child
'This is for the best,' Caleb thinks.
When were both headed off to school?
Going to Harvard like we dreamed.
He convinced her late one night there´s only one thing to do
'An abortion is the only thing to do,' he says.
She was scared to death in that waiting room
'I should have told him to come,' she thinks.
When the nurse asked how far along are you
In a kind non judgmental voice.
She said 5 weeks and just about then her phone lit up
'Thank Lord,' she thinks as she looks at her phone.
And his call came in
'He changed his mind,' she thinks as she answers.
Saying baby I was wrong about everything
'No I have part of the blame,' she thinks
I've already bought you a diamond ring we´ re gonna start a life
'Oh my god,' She thinks
Would you be my wife
'You even have to ask,' she ponders.
Boy or girl; pink or blue; yeah either way
'He is so sweet,' she deliberates
All she could say as she felt those tear drops falls was
'Great horomones are already starting,' she reasons
I´m so glad you called
'I truly am,' she feels.
If someone you know is weighing on your mind
It is for a reason, so do something about it.
And needs a friend on the end of that other line
You may never know but always be safer than sorry
Don't hesitate what you say may seem so small
You can really change a life
But who knows
Which is the truth?
They might be glad you called
They probably will be.
So make the call
It might make a difference
Yeah make that call
Do it for friendship, love, and family.
A/N: Okay this is my first Song-fic/one-shot. The characters are from the Covenant and the song is called 'The Call' by Matt Kennon.
