It's my first fanfic, so tell me what you think!

•Ian's POV•

I wake up to something strange. I'm not alone in my room. I look down on the carpeted floor and see my best friend Anthony laying on the floor with a pillow, a blanket and a stuffed Ditto.

I quietly climb out of my bed, being careful not to wake my sleeping friend.

"I wonder why Anthony is in here?" I say quietly to myself. Usually he'll go to the couch if he can't sleep, so this is odd.

I tiptoe out of my room to get my morning cup of tea. As I walk into the kitchen, I can hear Anthony start to wake up. Just as I step out of the kitchen with my favorite, earl grey, he walks down the hallway with a huge smile on his face.

"Ian, I hope you don't mind, but I slept on your floor last night. I'm just so excited and nervous, I couldn't sleep and your stuff was on the couch!" Anthony sounds like he's about to burst.

"Why so excited and nervous? Some audition you didn't tell me about?" I ask teasingly. But I really want to know.

"Last night I went out to get a ring, an engagement ring to be exact. I'm going to propose to Kalel tonight at dinner!"

WHAT. Anthony must have seen the hurt look on my face, because he reached over to put his hand on my shoulder, but I turned away. I ran to the bathroom and locked the door. I turned on the shower to drown out the sobs.

"Ian? What's wrong? I don't want to make you mad or unhappy, please tell me!" Anthony genuinely sounded worried.

"I LOVE YOU ANTHONY, AND I THOUGHT YOU KNEW!" I screamed, all emotions coming out at once. "I TRUSTED YOU WITH EVERYTHING, THINGS I WOULD NEVER TELL TO ANYONE ELSE!"

There is an awkward silence at the other side of the door. Then he speaks.

"Ian, turn the shower off and come out please. We need to talk." His voice sounds shaky. I slowly turn off the shower and step out of the bathroom. He looks at me with his beautiful chocolate eyes. He takes my hand and leads me to the kitchen table.

His voice is soft and he stares into my eyes.

"Why didn't you ever tell me? And what about Melanie?"

"I thought you would think I was weird. I thought it would ruin our friendship. I only dated Melanie so you wouldn't think I was gay. It's okay of you leave now. You probably don't want to stay here now."

Anthony silently got up from his chair. Instead of walking out he door, he came over to me and hugged me. This wasn't just a normal hug either. He let his soft hands comb through my hair. I breathed in deeply, smelling his shirt. I've always liked the laundry detergent he uses.

After a few more minutes in his warm embrace, he lets go.

"I feel the exact same way. Same reason why I dated Kalel. I convinced myself that I love her, but it's you. You are the one for me."

"But what about our girlfriends?" I don't want to hurt Melanie, and I'm sure Anthony felt the same with Kalel.

"Let's not worry about that now, I'll call Kalel later to cancel dinner. I just want to spend time with my new boyfriend."

I have the best boyfriend ever.
