This is just a drabble I wrote the other day. There will probably be more of these, as I have quite a few ideas running through my head. Enjoy, and please review!

The Ravenclaw Common Room was possibly the only room in Hogwarts expected to be constantly quiet and studious.
In reality, it was anything but.
Blue-clad students raced across the space, dodging between tables and chairs, switching from project to project as they quickly fired questions at each other on the origins of the South African Wizarding Constitution of 1963, or the accuracy of Muggle wizarding myths in various cultures. Pronouns and adjectives were screeched out at random intervals from students working on creative writing projects while artists splashed paint across canvases to form detailed representations of the grounds, the castle, a flock of hippogriffs.
It was absolute chaos, and the teachers knew better than to interrupt the organised battleground of study that occurred each afternoon. The students stayed up well into the night, their wild activity subsiding with the sunset into calm, quiet study late in the evening. The late night-time brought the sharing of writing, art, and theories, as well as presentations in preparation for class projects. All submissions were equally praised and criticised, resulting in improvement of all work. Hot chocolate was shared around, and house-elves were invited to join with the reasoning that they were greatly helping the students with their reviews. Many of the elves politely refused, returning to the kitchens, but a few stayed in the warmth of the firelight to listen and help where they could.
Later still, and some of the younger students left for bed. The older years stayed up to complete the last few pieces of classwork they could before drifting off, usually with their faces pressed to the pages of a textbook, only to wake early the next morning, ready for a new day and new things to learn.
