Despite the fact that it was not the day of a solstice, Zeus had called for an emergency meeting for all of the gods to meet at a Starbucks, but for what reason, no one was sure. The Titan War had just ended, and most of the gods had just finished claiming all the children they had once ignored and were hoping to relax a little bit. So, naturally, not many were happy about the meeting, for it might mean more work for them. Complaints were heard as everyone shuffled into the crowded coffee shop. Business was going strong today at Starbucks.
However, there was something amiss. Zeus had called for all, and he meant all, of the Greek gods and goddesses for the meeting, but Hera, Zeus's infamously jealous wife, was strangely absent. Additionally, why was it necessary to meet at a Starbucks, when it would have been much more convenient to hold it at Mount Olympus?
Zeus cleared his throat loudly to get everyone's attention. Soon, the complaining stopped."Okay, everyone. I have called everyone here on a very important subject matter to discuss. As you have known, Percy Jackson had struck up a deal with us in return for his help of defeating the Titans, and one of the points was to claim all of our demigod children, correct?"
The crowd of gods and goddesses all grumbled in agreement.
"Well, there are still some unclaimed children, and...uh...it would be nice if they were all claimed by the end of this week."
"That's it?!" a voice broke out from the crowd.
Zeus glared at the sea of gods in front of him. He tried to figure out the owner of the voice, but gave up. "I will not allow such incompetency among the gods." Zeus continued,"If I find out that there is to be even one unclaimed demigod, I will cut down on the amount of sacrifices everyone is allowed to have. Is that clear?"
Complaints rose up again, but after a while, everyone agreed. It's not like Zeus was ever a fair ruler to begin with.
"You are now dismissed."
A little while, everyone had left the Starbucks except for Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades.
"What are you two still doing here?" Zeus spat,"You're not going exempt from this duty."
"But...uh...Zeus, I'm pretty sure we don't have anymore children to claim, because of you know, the oath."Poseidon raised an eyebrow,"Where is Hera, anyway?"
Zeus wiped a drop of sweat from his forehead, and looked nervously towards the direction to Mount Olympus."It's not anything that you need to know," he replied pointedly.
Hades, who had been keeping silent this whole time, suddenly smirked. "Oh, don't tell me, Zeus, you broke the oath more than once?"
Zeus narrowed his eyes,"I don't know what you're talking about."
He turned his back on his brothers, and briskly walked towards the exit. He tried to push the door, only to realize that the it was supposed to be pulled, and left hastily. Poseidon and Hades exchanged looks. This was going to be interesting.
One week had passed, and there were still 20 unclaimed demigods in the Hermes cabin in Camp Half-Blood. Actually, according to Annabeth during one of her visits to Olympus to discuss about its architecture, all of them were able to shoot sparks of varying sizes out of their fingers.
Hera could be heard raging at her husband all throughout Olympus. That didn't stop Zeus from cutting the amount sacrifices everyone received, though.
In fact, he closed off all communication between Mount Olympus and the demigods to avoid this awfully suspicious matter altogether
A/N: Hey, how did you like this one-shot? It's not meant to be canon or anything, just a funny idea I had, since Zeus was pretty infamous in the myths for cheating on his wife all the time.
