Danny stared at the man who sat next to him in confusion, wonder. The man was an average height, dark skin and glasses. He came to his house offering a solution, freedom, but from what? Does he know? The single thought kept replaying in Danny's mind. Does he know about Phantom?
Phantom. Danny Phantom. His super, ghost-fighting alter ego. Phantom's brave and cunning, Danny's shy and timid. Phantom's a hero. Danny's a coward. There was no way anyone could put the pieces together that fast.
He introduced himself as Winter. He sounded kind, but Danny still set himself as far away as he could on the couch, wary.
"We know who you are, Daniel." 'Winter' used the same formalities as Vlad, but that wasn't on his mind. They knew. Oh, god, they knew.
"W-what do you want?" He asked, his voice shaking. "What do you want from me?"
"We need your help," Winter began. "We're aware of your...abilities, and we think they might be futile in aiding a girl."
"A girl?" They came to his house, convincing his parents for a private talk, letting him know they know of his secret identity, for a girl?
"You need to understand something, Daniel." Winter handed him an IPad, with various clips on it of a girl- younger than him- with amazing abilities. One had her floating above a crib, another had her bending an object- pure metal, Danny realized- with her mind. His mouth was gaping in awe; she was amazing. "This girl is special. There are people who want to use her for bad things. We need your help to protect her."
Danny nodded, not sure how to take it all in. "What would I have to do?"
The man, Winter, grinned.
