Kidnapped

I awoke to darkness and pain. There was a loud buzzing sound in my ears; everything else sounded like I was in another room. I tried to force open my eyes but they wouldn't oblige, they felt glued together. Either way, I could feel the blindfold over my eyelids, even though it meant I couldn't see-or hear very well-I was grateful. I had a feeling any amount of light would seem harsh to my obviously damaged eyes. Not only that, but my head was also throbbing and I felt a warm liquid running down my body. The pounding in my head made it hard to concentrate, I couldn't recall how I ended up here, or where here is.

There were others in the room, I couldn't hear them over the ringing in my ears yet I could sense that I was not alone.

Run over by a train then thrown off a cliff, that's how I felt.

Smell, that's one of the few senses still intact, I decided to use it. Wherever I was, the air smelt musty and old, as if the place hadn't been put to use in a very long time. Unfortunately that wasn't the only the smells my nose could detect, tobacco, machine oil and gun powder where the other smells.

Great, they have a gun.

The smell of gun powder increased as someone drew closer to where I was bound by tight, stiff ropes.

I was scared, no, I was terrified, I couldn't move, couldn't struggle against the thick ropes tying me down. My limbs wouldn't move, they wouldn't co-operate, and they couldn't.

Suddenly, I felt someone's hot breath on my ear as they leaned down.

I flinched. Not out of fear or surprise but because it hurt. Where exactly I couldn't say, I couldn't identify the source of it but it was awful. My remaining senses were blinded by pain, I couldn't take much more, I welcomed the incoming warm darkness with open arms, letting the darkness take over.

The last thing I could remember was the laugh of a maniac.

And the last thing I could think of was that Percy would come, he'd come and save me like he always did. He wouldn't let me die. He'd never do that. Even if he had to escape the Underworld he'd save me and tell me everything was okay, that he was with me now. I'd wake up safe in his arms once more.

Except I never woke up.

The End!
