The Tower

By Kaede Nakamura

Disclaimer: Don't own Zelda. Thank god.

I stare up at Ganon's Tower. Up there, I'll have to fight the biggest, most dire, and deadliest battle ever. All that to save Princess Zelda.

And yet, I can't help but think as a philosopher, not a warrior.

Like a tower, aren't I elevated higher by people? Not just me, either. Zelda (no doubt because she's a princess) is also a large pillar to the people of Hyrule.

Even Gannondorf, King of Evil, is a tower in his field.

The Sages, they're towers of good. Each is revered in their particular race.

Maybe we're all towers.

Or maybe…

"Link! Quit acting like Thoreau and go save the princess!"

Who's Thoreau?

Oh, well. Now I have to become a warrior again.
