A/N- Hey y'all... Wow, I spend too much time with friends from the South... Anywho, how's it been? I trust you've all seen the trailer for the Christmas special and are super excited about it? Cuz I am! Anyway, on to the story.

Read and review if you want me to continue, I'm hoping for this to be a multi-chapter if you guys like it :D

Prologue

I was handcuffed to a chair. That was nothing new, not by any means, though even for me, it was mildly annoying. I sighed dramatically and looked up at the man standing in front of me. He was tall and lanky, with short, black hair, currently brushed to the side.

"Can you repeat the question?" I asked with a cheeky smile. He glared at me for a moment with startling blue eyes. If looks could kill I would have been dead where I sat. He glared a minute more, absentmindedly pushing dark-rimmed glasses up his nose.

"I said, 'How does it feel to know that no one is going to come and rescue you? How does it feel to be so alone?'" He repeated, low voice getting lower, if that was possible.

I considered his questions in mock seriousness. And then I laughed.

"Am I alone?" I asked, still laughing. And right on cue, the wall to my left came crashing down. My captor spun on his heels, turning quickly in the direction of the crash.

"River Song, alone? Never." The Doctor said, with a smile as he nimbly jumped over newly created rubble.

"Hello Sweetie." I greeted him with a smile. He grinned at me having much more fun than the situation require.

The Doctor took in the small brick room quickly, eyes soon falling on my captor.

"Well hello, then! I'm The Doctor. Not "doctor something" just The Doctor. Capital 'tee' capital "dee." The Doctor. Two words, it's quite simple really. People are always asking "Doctor Who?" And I just don't get it. But anyway. It's lovely to meet you. Brilliant. Now that we have that cleared up, River and I must be on our way."

The Doctor stalked grandly around the room while he was speaking, glancing every so often at the black haired man, as if to make sure he was still there. In his defense, the man couldn't have known that a tall five year old was going to crash his party.

The Doctor pulled his sonic screwdriver from the pocket on his jacket and waved it around. The cuffs fell from my wrists and I followed him to the recently developed hole in the wall. With a nod in the direction of my captor, The Doctor jumped out through the wall. With a wink and a blown kiss in the same direction, I followed after him, hair flying out behind me.

Together we took a moment to enjoy the peace as we fell together through the cool night air.
