Hospital Visit

You sit by my bed to
See if I'll wake.
Not a single tear did
You cry, it is all
Hurting you inside.
But inside of me is the question of
"Why?"
I guess there is no reason
For you to cry,
Because I am crying enough
For the both of us.
He is out there listening
In but not apologizing.
Fear and guilt have taken
Over the once lively spirit.
No one notices him just me,
They say my spirit is lost,
But that isn't true. My spirit
Lives deep within you…
So with that I must say
"Good-bye until a later day."
