Disclaimer: Well…I don't own Harry Potter.
Hermione stood in the Burrow's bathroom, applying cakes of makeup to try to impress Ron.
That was how it was every day, variations of different makeup combinations.
"Hermione, I don't think-" Ginny would say, but Hermione would say, "He'll like it today. I know he will. Today is the day."
"Hermione!" Ron had been calling from downstairs.
She ignored him. Something was
throwing off her image.
Then she figured it out. It was her hair.
She took out a pair of scissors and
took a deep breath. It had been a while since she had gotten a
haircut, and the change would be nice….
She held up the scissors
to her hair and gulped.
Suddenly, Ron dashed up the stairs,
and then shouted, "Hermione! What are you doing?!"
Oops. She
never forgot to close the door when she was applying her makeup. That
way, it could be a total surprise to Ron.
"C-cutting my hair!" she stammered.
"Why?!" Ron demanded.
"It's ugly and I hate it!" she cried, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"'Mione no, it's beautiful! I love your hair!" Ron said, coming over to her and tentatively putting his arm around her. "See? Why don't you see what I see?"
"Why don't you see what I want you to see?" she whimpered back.
"What? What do you want me to
see?" Ron asked, "Because now, what I see is a perfect,
beautiful, smart girl standing right next to me. She doesn't need
makeup to be pretty."
"No, no! It's not true!" Hermione
sobbed.
"'Mione," Ron said, "That is
the truth. That's what I've been thinking for the past 6
years."
Hermione's mouth hung open.
Ron pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, and then kissed her.
They broke apart, and Hermione said,
"I don't know what was wrong with me. You're right."
Ron
smiled. "I knew you would agree. Now let's go have some
breakfast."
So I tried to catch Hermione in a different light, focusing on how she was upset about how Ron didn't seem to notice her, no matter what she did. Did you guys like it? Was it different from some of my normal stuff? Tell me in a review!
