Pool Party

Iris drags Barry to a pool party hosted by the CCPD → pre-Iris finds out flash's secret identity

Iris shoves Barry through the door. "Ow! What was that for?" he rebuked.

"Go get shorts and a T-shirt on," Iris tells him while pushing him towards the stairs.

"Why? I thought we were going to have a day of nothing." Barry says smiling.

"Just go get ready." she half commands and half shouts.

Barry decides to play childish, crossing his arms, "I don't want to" he whines.

Iris just responds as if he didn't just act like a two-year-old, "You're going to that pool party whether you want to or not."

His face shows a look of confusion, then recognition, and finally terror. "No, no, no, no, no!"

"You are going to go to that pool party Bear." shaking her head slowly as if she was disappointed in a child.

Barry gives in knowing he can't win this fight, "Fine, and you mise well come up here to tell me what to wear because we both know you'll shot down whatever I chose"

Iris grins as they walk up the stairs and to his room, "I thought it would be a lot harder to convince you. By the way, wear swim trunks I may or may not have told someone to push you into the pool!"

He stops going through his closet for a moment to turn around, "Really, Iris?"

"I said may or may not. You just don't know which" She says with a small smirk.

"Go get the car running, I'll be down in a couple of minutes."

"Mm," Iris stands up happily that she finally is going to get Barry to have some fun.

When they arrive at the party Barry asks, "Which is it? May or may not?"

"Not… going to be telling you." Iris replies as they climb out of her car.

Barry and Iris head towards the front door and she knocks. When an officer opens the door and sees Barry he silently hands Iris a ten. Once they are inside Barry asks, "What was that about?" gesturing to the bill that was now in her pocket.

"He bet ten bucks that I wouldn't be able to get you to come to this party." She responded.

As the two of them made their way to the back, Barry asked Iris if the bet in the only reason she made him come to, in his words, ' this stupid party'. She told him that wasn't the only reason, but a minute later admitted she might not have pushed him to come as much if the bet wasn't there. When they finally made it to the backyard they walked towards the pool. The fastest man alive however stayed at least 8 feet from the edge of the pool at all times. Sure if someone pushed him he could catch himself, but that would result in everyone here knowing that he's the Flash, including Iris. Then there was a giant splash of water that came from the pool and got Barry shirt covered in water. Iris saw this and laughed.

Barry grumbled, "Not funny."

"Can't you just take your shirt off like every other guy here?" She looks at him with false confusion. She knows he just doesn't like taking his shirt off, but she wants to make fun of him because 'his arms are like twice the size of yours' incident. Iris still laughs at how Barry reacted to that.

"Hmf, fine. Can I put my shirt in your bag?" obviously not happy about being here or getting splashed with water and having to take his T-shirt off. Iris nods and points to where her bag is. Barry comes back fairly quickly.

"So much for being the latest person alive," Barry tells her with a smile.

"I still believe you will be late to your own funeral," She says with a huff.

Iris reached back to grab his upper arm and drag him closer to the pool, but the arm she grabbed was very muscular and in her mind that meant not Barry. She turned around to see who she had to apologize to but found she actually did grab the right person's arm. Iris looked barry over to see if had put something on his arm to trick her but he hadn't. Iris then noticed his abs, 6? Maybe 8? How did she not notice this before?

Let's just say Barry surprised Iris a lot that day.
