Chapter One:
Twenty-four year old Belle Black looked out her airplane window at the ground
that was becoming clearer as her plane got closer.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please fasten your seatbelts. We will be landing
momentarily in our destination," said the pilot over the speakers.
Belle visibly stiffened after the announcement and the passenger next to her
turned to her and asked, "Are you alright Belle?" The person to whom the voice
belonged to was a man with who she had become close friends with while she had lived
with her pen-pal Lacey for the past seven years.
"Of course Aaron. I'm fine. I just still cannot believe that after all these years I
am actually coming home. My family is all here, as are my friends. My friends", Belle
said with a look of adoration in her eyes, "They've always been there for me. Mimi,
Philip, Chloe, Sha-." She stopped suddenly and a pained expression came over her face.
"It's alright Belle. I understand," Aaron soothed her. Aaron loved Belle more
than anyone in the world and was willing to do anything to stop the hurting inside of her.
You're going to pay for hurting her like this Shawn Brady, thought Aaron.
All of a sudden the plane started to bump up and down. It went on for a few
minutes and then it was over.
Belle opened her eyes and the realization hit her that she was actually back home.
Back in Salem. The place where she had her fondest memories and her most painful
ones. She and Aaron boarded off of the plane and gathered their luggage from the
luggage compartment. They hailed down a taxi driver and drove into town. Belle could
have easily had her parents come and meet them at the airport but she wanted to stop the
chance of any questions that she may be thrown at with. There would be enough time for
them later. And anyways, she wanted to surprise her family and friends.
The taxi driver took them to Belle's parent's penthouse apartment per her request.
She didn't have to ring the doorbell for she still had her house key from before she had
left. Belle and Aaron quietly crept in and there were her parents and her big brother
Brady. Their back s were all turned to her and so she stepped up right behind them and
said in a soft whisper, "Guess who's home guys."
