Disclaimer: Don't you wish you owned Young Justice? Because I do...

Adriana POV

You know when everything snaps in perspective? It's when you're running. Kind of like when you're running for the feeling or for your life because you know you'll die if you stop. I am currently doing the latter. Good for me. Not.

I never that I'd ever get away from the place I call home. I thought I was meant to be an assassin forever. Luckily fate had other plans for me. One day I came up with a crazy plan to run away with my brother Damian. It was working out until I actually went through with it.

In the distance, I couldn't hear anything, but I knew that my mother had already sent others after us. If I was caught, I would be punished or murdered. It would probably be the latter of the two. After all, I did kidnap the heir.

I was praying that my little brother would stay safe as I ran past a few trees. As I was running, I could hear an almost inaudible tune coming from behind. Most people would probably believe that they were just hearing things, but I knew that my brother was signaling he was safe.

My weapons clatter together because of my fast pace. I know my mother wouldn't care for me running away. But I know she'll hunt me down to get Damian, but I'll be ready for her.

I can't shake the feeling that I'm being watched; shadows running through the trees people in the sky. The tree people are watching, waiting for me to make a mistake. Once I make a mistake, they'll be ready to capture and punish me. But I was trained to not make mistakes. Then again, I am going against the ones that trained me. This, of course, doesn't ease my nerves.

Then I heard a soft rustle in the trees. It was so incredibly quiet, that I was lucky I even heard it. I only heard it because of my training and I am grateful.

On instinct I grab my bow and arrows. I hear it again now, knowing that this isn't an animal.

Suddenly, I'm in the presence of another. I turn around swiftly, my arrow aimed at the person's heart. Quickly I am unarmed and pinned to the hard, packed forest floor. Luckily after the person pinned me down I got a good look at it, or should I say him.

He was wearing an all-black suit with a blue bird. Immediately, I made the connection.

"Nightwing."

"I'm not going to hurt you just calm down and let me take you home."

I rolled my eyes and flipped him over as I grabbed my dagger.

I just adore this story and OC. I should, considering the fact that Adriana is based off of me! Oh yeah, this is I SEEE YOOUU (your author's wonderful older sister and beta) and I would like to tell all of you to review, favorite, and/or alert the story! Also, check out my stories and I'm putting up a new chapter of Isabella today!
