Finally it was Harry's birthday! Harry laid in his bed that night.
Then there was a tap at the window. He looked up and saw 4 owls on the
windowsill. He opened the window and opened the first letter. It read,
To Harry,
How are ya boy? I hope the Dursley's are treating you well. If they're not
then let them know, they'll be hearing from me soon. Just wanted to wish
you a happy birthday. See you in a couple on months.
Hagrid
Harry smiled and opened the attacked package. Inside were two rock cakes and a book. There was a note on top of the book that said, Harry this might come in handy next year. Harry smiled again, knowing that Hagrid was going to be teaching them again next year.
He then opened the next package, which was from Ron.
Hey Harry, it's Ron. Hope you're having a good summer. Dad won the lottery again and we made a few "changes" to the house. You have to see them. We also visited Charlie in Romania. Mum and Dad want you to come two weeks before school. We'll pick you up on August 18th at non. OK? Happy birthday, I'll see you soon. -Ron
Harry looked at the package inside was a book, The Latest Curses in Magic. There also was a small, round thing in a little box. There was a note it said Harry-the book has some new ways to curse Malfoy! Ha! The round thing is the latest from Fred and George. It's a monkey charm. You press the red button, and then put it on someone. In 20 seconds they will start acting like a monkey. (A/N-the monkey charm was the best thing I could think of sorry) Harry couldn't wait to try it out on Snape!
Harry's next letter was from Hermione.
Dear Harry, Hey! How are you? Ron told me you were going to his house 2 weeks before school. He invited me too and my parents said it was all right. I guess I'll see you there. Well happy birthday and I'll see soon! Love, Hermione.
Harry opened her package, and wasn't surprised to find a very large book of spells. He laughed because he knew she was going to get him that. He went downstairs, to the Dursley's. He told them Ron was picking him up 2 weeks before school. Uncle Vernon said"No way you're definitely not having fun this summer. Harry usually would have been angry but then he replied, "Sirius wouldn't be too happy about that, now would he?"
Uncle Vernon grunted. "I suppose you can go then. Make sure you tell Sirius that thought." Harry smiled
Harry went upstairs and started packing. He sighed and thought of how much fun being at Ron's would be. Then he went to sleep
