Stage one
When I first met him he was curled up on the lush green grass of a clearing. He was snoring and i just couldn't resist poking him. Needless to say helcurt almost broke my arm for that.
Stage two
He sat beside argus, observing. He barely acknowledged my presence as we listened to alices plans.
Stage three
The darkness rose around the city. It was entirely consumed in less than a minute. 1. 2. 3. I dived down. 1. 2. 3. After I jumped back up onto a roof the darkness faded. Helcurt laid there, not a single drop of blood on him. I joined him as he watched the light change above a city that was now nothing more than blood and death.
Stage four
I stared at his eyes. White in yellow surrounded by pink. They barely felt alive. Something was off about them, that I knew. Yet they were more enticing than any temptation i had known in life.
Stage five
Helcurt laughed. It sounded weird. Quiet, distorted, almost like a broken record. But by now I had come to love it.
Stage six
He grinned triumphant. "Told you I'm able to beat you." I smirked back. "One defeat means nothing."
Stage seven
"Its kind of weird isn't it ?" I didn't know what he was talking about. "You're an emporer and i am a creature whose kingdom fell long ago." I shrugged in agreement.
Stage eight
I wrapped the bandage around his arm. He didn't say anything as he was only contemplating our defeat. I however didn't think of it, all I could think about was that he was alive despite the open wound in his chest.
Stage nine
He wrapped his tail around my hand, careful not to sting. "Come now. Alice will kick our asses if we're too late."
Stage ten
I stared down at him as he was sleeping. How did i fall in love with such a creature ? He doesn't walk on two legs, hes animalistic, hes neither charming nor friendly. I stared down at him and smiled. That was why I loved him.
Stage eleven
The sun started to disappear behind the ocean. "I think... I love you..." Helcurts smile grew from grin to laughter. "That is the worst decision you have ever made !" I joined his laughter. He might think that but I wouldn't trade it for anyting in the world.
