AN: Hello! I got the idea for this fic while walking on the street, I hope you enjoy! Rate & review please.
It was a starry night, under the moonlight sat Remus Lupin, arms around Nymphadora Tonks, on a wooden bench.
"Er... Tonks?" Remus asked nervously, "yes, Rem?" Tonks replied with a grin.
"Are you freeon Saturday night?" Remus asked. A smile lit up on Tonks' face. "Yeah, why?"
Remus had spent his life savings on a single ring, wanting take Tonks' hand in marriage.
"It's nothing, just wondering if we could... You know... Eat dinner together." Remus said, "but we always eat dinner together, at my-"
"I don't want to eat with your parents," Remus interrupted "just you and me."
Tonks soon grew suspicious of Remus and whispered "why? you never bring me out on dates"
"Exactly, I've never bought you out before so I figured out just this once,"
Remus said.
"Alright," Tonks said with a grin on her face.
On Saturday night, Remus stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his collar. "Alright,
this is the day," He muttered "Today is the day, please don't mess it up,"
Remus walked out of his room, putting on his jacket, into the living room and grabbed a small, red-ish blue box and walked out of the house and disapparated.
Remus stumbled on the front door of Tonks' parents house, knocked on the door, hoping that Tonks would open the door.
When the door opened it was not Tonks, but instead it was Ted Tonks, "Oh, hello, Remus, Dora told me you were coming,"Ted said, smiling, "She's not done I'm afraid, why don't you come in,"
Remus walked in and he saw Andromeda Tonks, seating on the sofa, reading the daily prophet. "Hey, Remus," Andromeda said from the top of the paper.
Suddenly, there was a loud tump on the floor, everyone's head turned towards it, and Ted laughed "I think Dora tripped again."
Soon, Nymphadora Tonks came out of the room with a grin, wearing a baggy shirt and shorts, "Remus!" Tonks exclaimed "shall we go then?"
Tonks gripped Remus' arm and they disapparated.
Upon apparating in front of the restaurant, Remus commented, "You look lovely, my Dora," Tonks smiled and replied "you too,"
They were taken up to the rooftop where they sat alone with nothing but candlelight lighting up the place. They ordered and the food arrived.
After the meal, Tonks was using a napkin to wipe off the food that remained on her lips. "Remus," Tonks told Remus, "this is gonna cost a bomb, are you sure you're gonna pay?"
"Yup, if I can affordit, why can't I afford this." Remus replied.
"It?" Tonks questioned, "whatit?"
"Nymphadora, I think it's time," Remus said, "time for?" Tonks asked, but she already knew what's going on.
Remus inserted his hand in his pocket, pulled out the box which contained the ring, gets on one knee and said, "Nymphadora Tonks, will you marry me?"
Tonks stared at the ring with shock, how could he afford this? She examined the silver ring with a stunning diamond on top. Tonks gasped, "Of course I will, you great dumbo"
Remus took out the ring from the box and inserted it on the left ring finger, Tonks pulled Remus' collar towards her and pressed her lips on his.
That was the start of the best day of Remus' life.
