Narcissa's Lament
My rage is fulfilling,
My sadness is endless,
My tears start spelling,
My heart is mendless.
The abyss of thought,
Entraps me now,
I know but naught,
I remember how.
The days are forever,
Forgotten and gone,
Tears in a river,
Awash on my lawn
Spinning in circles,
Endlessly one.
Do you 'lieve in miracles?
The deed has been done.
The sapphire flames,
That temper the sword,
Unspoken claims,
Forgotten lore.
Singing with silence,
Dancing on glass,
Soothed by the violence
Shining like brass.
The forest of crystals,
The mountain of dreams,
Blasting of pistols,
Through the darkness it reams.
Forgotten tomorrows,
Eternal today,
Melancholy, sorrows,
I'm forced to obey.
The pain that surrounds me,
Like a sea of damnation.
How can it be,
The path of temptation.
The blood of the morning,
Bone of the dawn,
The world is in mourning,
The life of the ONE.
He approaches me now,
Mad as a loon,
His eyes sparkle wildly,
By light of the moon.
He slaps me down,
Punches my face,
He's wearing a crown,
Of an alien race.
He hits me again,
Harder this time,
In his mad lion's den,
I don't see the sign.
Hope of the stars,
Prayers of the pure,
Gods from afar,
The imagined cure.
I weep all my sorrows,
Cursing my life,
Trapped in the barrow,
Living with strife.
The sparkling plaything,
Shining like gold,
The stones start to sing,
My tale has been told.
Grasping the handle,
Take hold of my fate,
Ignoring the scandal,
It will come far too late.
Smiling sadly,
Swinging it down,
Cackling madly,
Blood pools the ground.
I look at the deed,
Which I commit,
Watch as I bleed,
From the silvery slit.
I wait here for death,
End my lament,
Spawn of the devil,
Or perhaps heaven sent.
