Harry James Potter stared at the sliver flask in his hand. The one with silvery blue liquid from Albus Dumbledore's Pensieve, and formally Severus Snape's mind. What he had just saw a few hours ago seemed so unbelievable to him. What he had done in the last few hours seemed completely unbelievable to him. Everything was just right.
The people in his life were safe, he had his wand back, he was in loveā¦And he was happy. It was really dark now, and he was alone. Alone in a nice way: comfortable and relaxing. Harry smiled. For the first time in what seemed like forever he could finally rest without any distractions.
But first he had something he had to do. He looked back down at the flask of memories in his hand and pulled out a quill. With that Harry began to write a letter to one of his most hated enemies. A letter he knew would never get to its' recipient, but felt good to write anyone. Severus Snape was most certainly deserving:
Dear Professor Snape,
I'm sincerely sorry for all the pain we've caused each other. I've been a pain. No more than I've been to everyone else though. But I do honestly appreciate the sacrifices you made in honor of my mother. And what you did for me .It's really kind .And most definitely guarantees you a spot at Hogwarts as an amazing headmaster and a hero.
We've had a lot of personal differences in the past, but that doesn't mean I don't respect you. I've always respected your power at magic, but now that I know the truth I also respect your power that lies at your heart. You may not have been right for my mother but you've got a kind heart, and I'm very sorry about how horrible your life's been. It's worth it though.
You helped good triumph over evil, and I'll make sure everyone knows it. I promise. You're the bravest man I've ever known.
Until we meet again,
Harry James Potter
Harry looked up at the sky. It was getting light. Perfect timing. He was so tired. Sleepily he folded up the piece of parchment, and kissed the seal. Then without blinking an eye he threw it into the fire. "I'm really sorry" he murmured as he fell asleep onto a stray pillow.
