Hyperspace.

A ship travelled though the vast blue and white combination that was hyperspace. A brilliant streak of white and blue particles flowing over her sleek body. It wisps unto the infinite void behind it.

It's serenity. It's silence. It's particles ever flowing, evaporating all worry and fear.

Hyperspace. An art. A skill that humanity has developed over the years. Humanity's comfort in the darkest of times.

It's so surreal, thought an observer.

Humanity and hyperspace have been through so much together. So many Great Depressions. So much destruction… So much war. So much… was lost. But hyperspace was always there with humanity, every step of the way.

The observer parted their legs into a wider stance. They let out a long reminiscent, shallow sigh.

It's only because of you that we, and I, have come this far, the observer thought, while gazing out the window.

They continued looking out of the observatory deck window for a minute longer, into the blue-white brilliance that was hyperspace.

Unforced laugh finally escaped their control. They took a deep and satisfied breath.

It's not even been a few days, they thought, smiling. You bring so much peace.

They let the minutes go by, just relaxing the visuals right in front of them. Then their eyes looked out. They made hard eye contact with deep hyperspace. Their eyes seemed to be looking right into the soul of hyperspace.

"I will always be there for you too," a female voice, finally said.

They inhaled deeply though their nose, then exhaled slowly through their mouth.

"Hyperspace, thanks for hanging out with me. But, I have my duties to do, as well you know," they said, with a heavy sigh. "But I will come visit you again, okay?"

They nodded to themselves, then turned around and walked towards the bulkhead door.

They stopped for just a moment, and gave one last longing to their back. Smiling to themselves, they continued walking.

When the doors finally closed, a light humming sound filled the observation deck. It continued to get louder until the sound was resonating with the hum of the engines.

Hmm, Nora. Why do you have to be so hard on yourself? a resonating voice thought, with a mock-annoyance.

The room glowed a playful translucent shade reds and blues just after the voice spoke.

It definitely was you too. The room started to glow that brilliant blue-white combination. It blended peacefully in with the other equally brilliant visuals outside. Blue merging with blue. White merging with white. Such a smooth merge.

"I will always for you to, Nora," another female voice finally said.

Suddenly, the bulkhead's lock started to rotate. Her resonating sound, and brilliant glow, started to disappear in reaction.

"I will see you again soon, Shepard.", the other female said quickly.

Then the doors finally opened. All that was left was the peaceful humming of engines, and, of course, the beauty that is hyperspace.
