How Long Has it Been?

Donatello rubbed his eyes as he took off his headphones. Another day's work put in…thankfully. He sighed with relief as he logged himself out and turned off his monitor. He sat back in his chair and stretched his arms over his head, as he glanced over to his calendar. How long has it been now? Since they became human? According to his calendar, it's been three whole weeks. And he still hasn't…gotten use to see it. Seeing him. Seeing a pink face instead of an olive one. He was the first to put back on his bandana, in hopes that it'll help with accepting the change. Taking after their brother, Leo, Raph, and Mikey did the same as well, but they only kept them on during patrol. Donatello, however, kept his on much longer.

He got up and studied his calendar more closely. He had marked each day with a red marker since the change. He also added notes on the calendar, thoughts on how it happened…on why it happened. Donatello chuckled to himself as he looked over all he wrote. His calendar looked like a huge scribble. He could barely see the dates.

He thought about his brothers. They all seem to be getting use to it all. Yes, it was hard at first, but after awhile, they all seemed to be coming along, learning how use these new bodies, how to live as humans instead of mutant turtles. They even started to enjoy being humans and hanging around other humans.

Raphael enjoyed going above in the day, among other humans, going to bars, going to clubs, and just simple mixing with other humans (and of course Casey). Michelangelo enjoyed the same, though he enjoyed going to games, to comic stores and toy stores. He already made friends with people that were just as childish (and "comic-geekish" as Mikey says) as he was. And even his quiet and most reserved brother, Leonardo, started going out to readings that were held in local bookstores. Why hasn't he accepted it yet?

Donatello sighed. Maybe, in another couple of weeks, he'll finally join his brothers above, with the other humans. He shrugged his shoulders and winced as he found a kink in his left shoulder blade.

Maybe some exercise in the dojo will help, he thought, then headed to the dojo, fixing his purple bandana across his forehead.
