A/N: Hello Readers! For those of you who have read my other Hunger Games story, "Gale Goes Crazy", this might sound a little familiar. That's because this almost was that story! Anyways this is just something I cooked up last year that I showed my friends who thought I was nuts. In fact, one of them (I'll call her Soso) wrote a sequel to it! But I'll let you all be the judge of that.
Gale the Creeper
~Gale~
"Deep in the meadow, under the willow" I can hear her singing...I'm close.
"A bed of grass, a soft green pillow." She sounds like an angel. I have to get to her. I just have to. I start running towards the sound of her voice. I run into a clearing and practically knock her down. She screams. Ever so slowly, she backs away. All at once the love I feel for this girl comes rushing at me and I run forward, grab her, then spun her in the air.
"PUT ME DOWN, GALE! PUT ME DOWN! STOP IT!" she screams at me.
"I'm...I'm..." But then I see it. I gently set her down. Her voice trails off, not wanting to finish what she was about to say. I force my gaze down, to see her perfectly round stomach. I feel knots forming in mine. "You have to leave, Gale." she whispers. "You have to leave."
"I can't. I won't," I answer back. I consciously move my feet forward. She starts backing away again.
"What are you doing?" she says, panicked.
"What I should have done a long time ago..."
~Katniss~
I keep backing away, trying to quickly form an scape plan. I can't exactly just run away. I'm 8 months pregnant. But I don't think I'll be able to just punch him either. He's gaining on me and I'm running out of time. I could call for help, but no on e would hear me out here. Thud! Oh no. I've backed into a tree. There is no escaping Gale. I'll just have to talk him out of it.
"You're going to regret this. You touch me and Peeta will beat you with an inch of his life." I say. His face is inches from mine.
"I'm not leaving, Katniss. Peeta can do what he wants, but it doesn't look like he's here to save you now." he says, tauntingly.
"Peeta!" I shout at the top of my lungs. At this pint, calling for help is worth a try. "PEETA!"
"It's no use Katniss," Gale is smiling. He's never looked so happy in his life.
I start shaking and my voice drops to a whisper again, "Please don't do this," I beg.
"Too late, Katniss. Too late."
And the next thing I know, his hands go up around my neck and his lips find mine, and I'm trapped in between Gale and this stupid tree that I backed into.
