After visiting Albert and Michel's graves, Caroline is about to go somewhere when she gets an unexpected visitor. It's none other than the third enemy her rescuers encountered, Raoul. Once a dark minded fencer who wanted to avenge the death of his love interest, Sophie, he is now a human freed from the darkness of he had endured.
"Um, hello," the girl knows that there is nothing to fear of him, but she is nervous in interacting with him.
"Yes, uh, hi," the man nervously replied back.
"What are you doing here?" Caroline asked.
"I just came here to pay my visit to the hunters who not only saved your life, but also mine," Raoul replied calmly.
"Okay, and I got one question."
"What's that?"
"Why did you call me Sophie back then?"
Hearing this question really brings out a discovery that she wanted to know of. Nevertheless, Raoul must answer truthfully behind this strange behavior coming out of him when he was once a vampire working for Count Auguste.
"That's because you remind me of her."
"Really? Can you tell me about her?" Caroline asked the next question.
"Well, when she was alive, we used to hang out together a lot of times," was the reply.
"So she was a love interest to you?"
"Yes, I loved her, and she loved me. We live a happy life together. Too bad it didn't last long. She got killed by some humans. This is exactly why I became a vampire; to avenge her."
Caroline begins to find sympathy for Raoul as she hears his story of his lost love interest. Of course, she is a kind-hearted girl who has found an interesting tale in him.
"I see," she takes in the story well. "That's why you hated humans, right?" the next question she asked and the man just nodded. "Like I said, humans suffer, too. You're suffering because of your loss. That's because you are a human before."
"And I am human again, thanks to those two."
"We got out troubles, but we eventually got out of those."
"Well, I got to get going and pay my visit. Can I have your name?" Raoul asked.
"Caroline, and what's yours?"
"Raoul."
"Okay, Raoul, I hope we meet again," Caroline said with a smile on her face.
"Yes, Caroline, I hope the same thing," Raoul returned the statement with a smile on his face as well.
The two part ways as he goes to Albert and Michel's graves.
"I shall remember you two for saving my life back there. Thank you for turning me back into a human."
