Very short oneshot. Hope you enjoy!

Lilly stared across the room at Jackson. She tried not to be obvious, but she knew she probably was. She couldn't help it. Something about him made her stare a little to long and a little to hard.

Yet he seemed totally oblivious. She half wished he would notice her staring. That he would catch her looking. But he never did. Or at least he never said anything. Not to her.

Lilly wanted him to know how she felt about him, but she was afraid he wouldn't feel the same. She wanted him to feel the same. She needed him to feel the same.

But she knew it was near impossible for that to happen. She was nothing compared to the girls he normally went out with. He liked beautiful girls. Tall and thin. Girly girls. Lilly knew she wasn't a girly girl. She knew she wasn't his type at all.

Lilly loved when he stopped to talk to her. She'd smile and laugh at his jokes. She'd giggle and try to make witty remarks, but sometimes she'd trip over her words and stutter. She felt like an idiot when she did that, but she loved hearing his voice and she loved his laughter and his smile.

"Are you okay?" he'd always ask her.

"Of course," she'd always answer. Little did he know he was tearing her up inside.

She could spend hours upon hours daydreaming about him. About what it would be like to hold him, to kiss him. In her imagination it was so real, so vivid, she could almost smell him next to her.

Lilly opened her eyes to see Jackson standing in front of her.

"Are you okay?" he asked for the hundredth time.

"Of course," she replied as usual.

"I'm going to pick up lunch. You want anything?"

She shook her head and watched as he turned and left.

'I just want you to love me," she whispered to herself, knowing she'd never tell him the truth. It would always be her secret, locked deep in her heart. She sighed as she went back to her daydreams. They were the only way she'd ever be with him.
