Hey everyone! This is another short oneshot from me using the typical two girls fall into Middle Earth and get main character lovers when they become 10th and 11th walkers. It was just an idea for a bigger story that will probably posted later on and we decided not to use it. For more background on this story please go read What Comes From Sighing (by me, it's in my profile). Ariana was the main character in that one but I didn't give her a name, just as I don't give most of my main female characters in oneshots names or descriptions so you can insert what you want. You can imagine them however you want them to be or even imagine them as yourselves. Anyways, without farther ado, enjoy and review!
PS Arwen doesn't exist
Disclaimer: I do not own the Lord of the Rings.
Jess wore dresses nowadays. There was no longer a need for pants or armor. The Enemy had been defeated. Everyone was safe. Frodo was still asleep but he would wake. Gandalf said he would. Gandalf was always right.
She wondered what she would do once he awoke. What would happen to them all. They would all stay until Aragorn, no, Isildurs Heir, was crowned, and then they would go their separate ways. Aragorn would be king. He would restore the lands to their former glory and lead the men into a new age, the Age of Men. After that he would search for a queen. This thought hurt her. The thought of Aragorn with someone else was almost too much to bear. She needed to walk to clear her head.
The hobbits would return to the Shire, now legends among their folk. Gimli would visit the Fangorn Forest with Legolas as he promised and Legolas and Ariana would go to Mirkwood and marry once that was done. Everyone would attend the wedding. Jess was happy for them. She really was. She could see the love they felt for each other in the way they looked at each other; like they were the only two people on earth. She wanted someone to look at her like that. Not just anyone. Aragorn.
She might as well admit it to herself. She was hopelessly in love with him.
She found herself in the courtyard beside the White Tree.
"Why do you wander with such sad eyes, Milady?" A voice asked. She turned to see Aragorn himself.
"I love a man who cannot love me," she responded, thinking she might as well tell the truth. His face fell for moment but he composed himself quickly.
"I'm sorry to hear that. Are you certain this man doesn't love you?"
She nodded. "He is...he is perfect. I am not." She turned away sadly, unable to look at him any longer.
He reached out and touched her face, turning it towards him. "You are amazing. If this man makes you feel like anything less than you are he doesn't deserve you." She was crying now.
"Can you not see?" She asked bitterly. "He is you!" Tears streamed down her face. "I love you! But you cannot- you will not."
Aragorn looked shocked for a moment and Jess began to turn away, already regretting her decision to tell him. He grabbed her wrist and spun her around, forcing her to look at him. They stared intensely at one another, neither moving. A strand of hair danced across Jess's face. Aragorn raised his hand and removed it, tucking it behind her ear. His hand stayed on her cheek.
"I love you too," he whispered before kissing her.
Love it? Hate it? PLEASE REVIEW! I know it's kinda like What Comes From Sighing but I was tired and I wrote this in like 5 minutes. Tell me what you think, it would mean so much!
Thanks!
