A/N; I made that summary rhyme, didn't I? Haha, I'm not going to change it, though. :P Well, as you should now, this fanfic does have a small spoiler from volume 5 of the Akira manga. I finished reading the manga today and, oh my, did I cry at that ending. I'll always love Tetsuo, even if he was kind of an ass throughout the manga. Still, he really needs love. This is my OTP now, Tetsuo/Kaori. I found that I liked Kaori more than in the movie. But I really like Kaneda/Kei, too. :'D They're all so amazing. LOL. I'm sorry for the inactivity that's being going on with my fanfics, I've had a slight hiatus from my busy life and from a slight uninterest for it but it's slowly getting there so I hope I'll be able to make more fanfics soon. Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy this fluffy fanfic!

It had been shocking, to say the least, to seeing Tetsuo so differently than before. His hair wasn't so spiky and more short, more of a paler colour than his usual dark hair and he looked more tranquil, peaceful, calmer. Kaori was captivated by this new strange look, so different it was on Tetsuo. It looked better on him, though. It made him look more...handsome.

And as she couldn't help but stare at him as he lay on the sprawl of the multiple cushions, she noticed that he was extremely tired.

"Kaori..." she heard her name called out softly by Tetsuo. So different it was, so much more kinder, but then again, he always made his voice kind around her. No matter where they were, he was always so kind.

She walked up to him, holding out her hand against his outstretched mechanical arm. It was cold against her palm, giving her a sharp chill as she clenched it, but she never minded his freezing automatonic arm. She thought it unique and part of Tetsuo, and it was the very first thing that she had touched of Tetsuo.

Kaori sat on the cushions with him, and he started to cling to her, like so many other times that they'd sat beside each other alone.

"Stay with me..." Tetsuo's voice was filled with a longing that Kaori had never heard from him. It surprised her to hear this from him, but she felt a nice ache in her chest. It was an ache of both compassion and sadness that he longed for something this much, but happy that this something was her. She held Tetsuo as his eyes closed, feeling him relax against her. Such a warm feeling it was, to have him lean against her on these cushions, for him to look so peaceful and cling to her. Such loving she felt as she gazed down at his face.

Kaori lowered her head on an impulse, and gently caressed her lips against Tetuo's forehead. She had never really done any affectionate things to anyone before, maybe except hugging her ill, and possibly now dead, father, and this act made a small shiver of delight go through her.

As she raised her head, she looked into Tetsuo's eyes which were now half-open, gazing at her. Those eyes looked so dreamy and glazed over and another shiver went through Kaori.

Tetsuo's face came closer to hers and she wasn't able to break the eye contact away. How entranced she was, gazing into those eyes.

She felt her own eyes slowly close and felt Tetsuo's lips caress hers with such gentleness and if felt so soft to Kaori. A euphoric shiver went through her as their lips slowly parted.

"Don't leave me." She heard Tetsuo's soft whisper.

"I won't." She whispered back.

"I'll never leave you."
