First Impressions

So . . . Jolene is nothing like Aisha expected. Nothing. At. All. She's used to the guys and you know, Pooch is pretty house-trained when all is said and done, particularly when you compare him to the others. I mean seriously, Clay and Roque, before his demise, you can barely take them anywhere. Cougar's quiet enough that you can almost get him to blend in, with the wall if not the people and Jensen . . . Well, Jensen's just plain bouncy and it gets on everybody's nerves and in Aisha's opinion it doesn't particularly get any easier when you know him, not that she has any intention of saying that in front of any of them. Jensen might laugh it off, but the others . . . not so much.

So back to Jolene. Aisha had, in those rare moments in which she rationalized any of them having a family or life beyond this, pictured Jolene as one of those homely types, all house-proud and mumsey. In the pictures in Aisha's head, she spends her time knitting clothes for more children than she currently has, cooking everything from scratch and organically with a house that is pristine.

Now to be fair at this point, she has no idea whether Jolene does or ever has done any of those things, but one thing she is absolutely sure of is that Jolene packs a mean right hook and she is going to be feeling the other end of for a lot longer than Pooch's wife with her rapidly swelling eye and the blood that's currently dripping from her nose.

All in all, Aisha thinks if they can get past this initial hiccup, she could like Jolene a lot.
