The guards pass my cell, and I try to keep my face slack, my eyes blank, but they still look at me a little oddly. Perhaps it's paranoia on my part, because they can't know what I am planning. They can't know that I'm going to be fleeing from this place in little over an hour. Still, as their eyes glance over me, I can't help but feel nervous.
I change into a dog as the Dementor's draw closer. As soon as they pass, I'll be home free, or at least, that's what I'm hoping. I hear the screaming of my mother in my head as they move passed my cell door. Blocking it out, I stay frozen until they leave, the echoing in my head lessening until it disappears completely.
Praying to Merlin that this would work, I slip through the bars of my window, take a deep breath and jump.
