Author's Note: I am finally back among the living I do believe. I know that it has been quite a while since I have posted anything and for that I am sorry. I was going through and unpacking and found a binder full of oneshots that I wrote but have not posted. Lol. Thanks to my lovely cousin I will be posting them off and on over the coming weeks as well as a new story or two thanks to my lovely cousin and my dear husband. Lol. I wrote this one a while back and I will warn you it is short and that it is not a pairing I have really wrote before.
This story is dedicated to the person I named my daughter after. She knows who she is.

For the last several days JJ has been avoiding one man because she wasn't sure what to do or what to say to the man. However today she had finally come to a conclusion after a lot of thinking and talking to her two best gal pals. She could only hope and pray that the man who had her heart in the palm of his hand would want her. She raised her hand after taking a deep breath and knocked on his office door and when she heard him call out enter she wiped her clammy hands on her skirt and then opened up the door and walked in. "Hello, Dave. Do you have a couple minutes that you could spare, please? I need to talk to you about something."
Dave looked up from the file he was reading and his heart stopped in his chest. He had to force himself to breathe because he was looking at the woman who has had his heart for three years now. He stood up from his desk and smile. "Of course JJ. What would you like to talk about?"
JJ shut the door and then stood there nervously as she wondered how to put into words what she felt. She could tell that Dave was staring at her so she took in a deep breath and let it out as she looked him straight in the eye. "I know that I have been avoiding you for the last week or two and I want you to know that it wasn't because of anything that you had said or done. I needed time to think and to be honest Dave when I'm around you I can't think. When you are around my heart races as does my head and I needed the time away to think about what those signs meant to me. You see Dave I have had a crush on you since you came to the BAU four years ago. Since then I have gotten to know you and I fell for you. All I know is that I'm done running scared. What I'm trying to say Dave is that I love you and I just thought that you should know."
Dave couldn't help but smirk as he looked at the woman standing nervously. He slowly walked around his desk and then over to her. "JJ, you have nothing to be nervous about. I have loved you for the last three years. It has killed me to see you with another man and then when Will and you decided to split it took everything in my power not to charge over to you and claim you as mine. I love you JayJe and that will never change. I'm glad that you told me how you felt. I've been talking to Aaron about whether I should tell you or not."
JJ chuckled at that. "I've been talking to Emily and Penelope about whether I should tell you or not also. Emily, today finally told me if I didn't tell you she would. I think ever since she got together with Aaron that she has become a romantic fool."
Dave shook his head and laughed. "I have to agree with you there Bella. You should see the look Aaron gets in his eyes when he talks about Emily. Then again I have no right to talk because Aaron tells me I get the same look in my eyes when I talk about you."
JJ blushed and then gathered her courage and pulled Dave to her and kissed him. She knew as soon as his lips met hers that everything would be just fine. She knew that she finally had the man of her dreams with her and she knew that everything between them would be great.
And it was.
