Seth peeked into the pantry. So many shelves packed with so much food! One shelf featured nothing but large jars of homemade preserves. Closer investigation revealed that the jars were lined up three deep. Seth backed out of the pantry and looked around. Reentering the pantry, he removed a large jar of boysenberry preserves, pulling another jar forward from the second row to disguise the absence. They might miss a half-empty jar from the fridge. But one of many unopened jars from an overstuffed pantry? Not likely. He could be sneakier than Kendra knew. Suddenly a golden, swirling portal appeared in front of him and pulled him in.

Kendra walked to the house wrapped in her towel. She entered the back door and found Lena dragging a broken coffee table into the kitchen. Much of the surface of the table had been made of glass. Most of it was broken. "Need a hand?" Kendra asked. "Mine are plenty." Kendra went and grabbed the other end of the table. They set it in a corner of the spacious kitchen. Other broken objects rested there as well, including the jagged fragments of the ceramic pot Kendra had noticed earlier. She saw a glimmer of yellow light appear. "What..." She never finished as the vortex pulled her in.

"Whoa!" "HEY!" "What's going on?!" Several voices rang out as people were transported to a place that looked like it was out of a picture. "Seth?" Kendra asked. "Seth, where are you?" "Over here!" She heard. She quickly turned and saw him waving over by a large painting. Kendra made her way over to him as the adults tried to figure out what was going on. "What happened?" She asked. "I don't know." Seth replied, "But it sure seems to have upset everyone." "Seth, we just got magically transported to who knows where! I think a little worry is justified!" She exclaimed.

"Kids!" They heard their Grandpa yell. "Come over here with the rest of us. This place might be dangerous." Just then a voice spoke out of nowhere. "This place is perfectly safe for all of you." It said. Kendra thought it sounded like a woman's voice. "Who are you? How did we get here? And what do you want from us?" Grandpa asked the ceiling. "I am the Fairy Queen, and I hope to aid you. I have brought you here to learn the future." Gasps rang out. "That's impossible!" Grandpa yelled. "No one can ever change the past." "Ah, but I am not a mortal. I can." The Fairy Queen said. "Now you will all read books written in the next few years. they are a mix between Seth and Kendra's perspective. However, before you begin there are those who are unknown to people in this room. Everyone must introduce themselves first."
