A/N: I'm EVIL! EVILLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! Hehehehe… *had too much candy today* And you were almost Mrs. Weasley, Lil!

Disclaimer: Everybody is J.K.'s except Lil. She's… herself. ^_^ The songs are also not mine, "Stan" (Eminem) and "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely" (BSB)

Outside a dark dorm, a single girl paced the hall.

My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why…

She seemed to make a decision, her steps turning abruptly and going towards the creaky stairs that went downstairs to the Common Room.

I got out of bed at all

Lily sadly turned her face towards the window

The morning rain clouds up my window…

where a single dark cloud grew over the castle, and the heavy, pounding rain on the roof

and I can't see at all

made her sit up straight, made her strain her ears for some sound of steps in the hall. She listened and watched, despite her bleary eyes and the purple rings beneath her eyes

And even if I could it'll all be gray,

Lily reminded herself not to jump at every noise, closed her eyes and rested back against the support of the deep armchair, taking comfort in the silence and stillness around her in the dawn.

but your picture on my wall

She couldn't get the image of her former fiancé out of her head. She squeezed her eyes shut and tried to envision a young man with hair a different color than red

It reminds me, that it's not so bad,

but her pain and memories still cut deep. He was gone, gone forever.

it's not so bad…

When would she get over him and move on? This she didn't know. She didn't know if she really wanted to get over him, to forget the friendly redhead and his face, always ready to break into a smile or to crack a joke.

Show me the meaning of being lonely

But what she knew deep in her heart

Is this the feeling I need to walk with

is that there would be no returning to the past.

Tell me why I can't be there where you are

No matter what amount of wizardry was used, she would never be able to get back to the happy time when they were planning their wedding day, laughing and joking about it.

There's something missing in my heart.

Dead in the dragon attacks, they said. He had died a heroic death, saving the people of Cornington from the dragons' deadly flames.

There's nowhere to run

Lily remembered she had never been so horrified in all her life, the day the Minister came to her door to give her the news. It was just as she was being measured for her bride's dress. "I'm sorry to have to tell you this, Ms. Muree," he said gravely, "but I'm afraid your fiancée is dead. He died in the dragon attacks in the countryside."

I have no place to go

She'd frozen for a moment, then burst free of her pins and needles that had held her to the stand, running upstairs and locking the door to her room. She'd buried her face in her hands and sobbed for hours. When she finally came out, she still couldn't bear the truth.

Surrender my heart, body and soul

Every day after that, all the students at Hogwarts noticed the change in the normally bright seventh-year prefect. She dragged her feet, kept her head low, and answered as few questions as was possible in classes. She was a shadow of her former self.

How can it be you're asking me to feel the things you never show

Now she had pulled herself together, but her suffering ate up her insides, although no one else saw it. She looked up at the sun, which was rising over the horizon and blinked away her tears.

You are missing in my heart…

I will never let you go, Ron, she promised silently, turning to her day's work, being a prefect, as the castle began to rouse itself…
